Gauge Is sure the best personal protection/security dog he may not be very good for sport because he got that defense drive in him but it's good for personal protection and security work

Man, congrats 8th at Worlds is huge! & boy did Gage pull out his best self for ya, it's a beautiful team 🙂you said you'd do it & you've done it - top 10 in world 🎊 My question is - did you pull your counting face in obedience? 🤣 My observational thoughts on his 'pause'/hesitation before long attack - could that be related training where he's been called off at close distance to decoy? (also an important skill, I understand that), it's almost like he's double-checking for a recall/call off/guard commands before going fully in for it - in his brain 'did dad say I could really bite this dude or not'?. how to train around that, or if it's worth it for another few points - I dunno. Well done!! 🎉

Just to be clear gauge gets less out of protection not because he is weak as a dog but he got some other traits like defensive drive where he really gets emotional during protection which can really hurt him from a sports perspective, but in personal protection and sercurity work he is perfect
