Shift Line TWIN MkIIIS | direct recording sound examples with Artem Khrustalev

The Shift Line Twin MkIIIS is a tube guitar preamplifier with built-in IR-based cabinet simulation.
All sound examples in the video were recorded directly into an audio interface through the Twin MkIIIS preamp. No physical cabinets are used. The recording chain is as follows: guitar - Twin MkIIIS preamp with IR-based cabsim - audio interface.
The A+ Astronaut III reverb was used in some examples (before the preamp). A bit of transparent compression is used in post-processing to boost output volume.
The impulses used in the video are standard ones that come with the preamp. They can be swapped for any other impulses of your choice via SD card (the format is 48kHz 24bit mono).

В данном видео представлены примеры использования лампового предусилителя Twin MkIIIS при записи в линию. В видео нет звука записанного с реального кабинета.
Звуковой тракт: гитара - предусилитель со встроенным импульсным эмулятором кабинета - звуковая карта. Для придания объёма в некоторых примерах использован ревербератор A+ Astronaut III (до предусилителя). В пост-обработке использована прозрачная компрессия (для поднятия уровня выходного сигнала).
Используемые импульсы поставляются вместе с предусилителем и могут быть заменены на импульсы пользователя загруженные с SD карты (формат 48кГц 24 бита моно).

I have one too. I use it to record and play guitar live. I also reamped bass and keyboards with it, with nice results. It's an awesome tool

@@voidburner8271 I just send the dry signal from the DAW to the output of my audio interface, and from there just a standard cable into the pedal

@@TheSecondNature thx for the info. btw, is this unit stereo? seems to have 4 outputs... but im a little confused on the fucntions of them as one is a marked headphone, balanced, buffer out, and main output...

@@voidburner8271 it's not really stereo. it has one XLR out, a thru out (a buffered signal that isn't affected by the pedal) and an headphone out. But you can't use the headphone out and the xlr at the same time. So you can just use the xlr and thru output at the same time, you can use the thru output to go into an amp and the xlr out to go to the PA for example. I did that too live, it can be useful. but no, it's not stereo. the other two jack outputs you see are the effects loop. But you can e-mail shift line, they do answer to any question, they're good folks

Именно для этого предусилитель и предназначен в первую очередь. Гитару - в предусилитель, предусилитель - в оконечный усилитель.
