I suspect this product will quickly find their way into the dust bin of gadget history.

Possibly

I've seen these reviewed elsewhere and I'm just amazed this company is still trying to make these. They are so obviously heavy, loud, and impractical. Something like this needs to be lightweight and completely silent to even have a chance at taking off.

Yep they have been at it a few years, I do agree the weight/noise are negatives

An interesting product, Duff, and I echo what is stated below, more rubbery wheels would seem like a good thing.

Yea I'm not sure how much noise reduction that would result in.

I think the concept is good, but they should be able to make them almost silent. Better tolerances and quieter materials might do a big difference. Upon all this, the price would have to be much lower, but that could happen with bigger production runs. I love the concept.

Yep good concept

I dont get it why they dont use normal wheels with air in it, or Skatewheels with softer rubber.
@DufАй бұрын
Probably something to do with longevity

Unfortunately for these, the energy expenditure math is pretty straight forward, and in >90% of situations, the weight of these things cause you exert more energy than you would by simply walking faster. The safety, noise, and battery life issues just make this a non starter. If they can cut the weight in half in future versions and solve the noise issue, there might be a market for them, though I suspect they'd have more luck making fun electric roller blades or heely's type things instead of a make-me-walk-a-bit-faster-mobile.
