This is very powerful! Perhaps it is intentional that the reasons for not helping are vague, because truly at the end of the day all of can be pierced in the heart and hopefully driven to repentance and attitude change. Human nature unfortunately, is driven by self preservation, fear and whether or not serving someone is convenient or not. If we are hearing this short story, perhaps our reactions to it are also indicative of how our hearts are. Or to refer back to an earlier episode, how ready is your dirt to receive the seed? Looking forward to the next one. Thank you!
