Salaam Sister; like yourself even I was very scared of using pressure cooker but now I can’t live without it. It just needs practice. It reduces cooking time so much. The trick is to not OVERFILL the pressure cooker - best way I have found is keep the pressure cooker half full until you get use to the quantity and maximum limit. If it has a marking of maximum then don’t go beyond this marking. Also once it’s finished let the pressure release fully before opening the lid. If you do not allow the WHOLE PRESSURE to release then your lentils/curry’s will explode. You can also release the pressure manually if you want. I would definitely read the instructions throughly so that you understand your product. Take care ❤
