Your explanations are great. A month ago you said in the kote video, "don't stop after you move in." Then in the "3 tips" video you said, "do not stop the motion." In this video you're talking about the same thing again, except now you mention "tame." Personally I think it's a great way to connect the dots. I feel like your videos have helped me look at my own kendo in a clearer way. One thing, though, I think your recent videos are the most helpful for people in the nidan / sandan level. Below that, they don't have the ability to do your suggestions in keiko. Above that, they really should be able to know and do everything you talk about.

Thank you for the support and your feedback. I hope I can get better and be able to build up a repertoire of videos this way. I agree with your observation and yes it’s something I haven’t figured out got to do in the channel. I want to share as much as possible but I realize that some people are going to be left out. I need to find a way to help the viewers identify the level for which the video is mainly targeted. I want to explore the higher level elements but also I see the need to share the things that I feel are important to create a good foundation. If you have any suggestions please let me know!!!

So I have tried the debana men method in which I take a sharp small step in from toma, then after that I hang my right foot off the floor while constantly shifting my weight as slow as I can from my left foot toward my right foot, during this weight shift I will reach the issoko no ittou no mai, while keeping my shinai at chudan and the moment I recognize the opponent move I would land my right foot and hit men at the same time. question 1 what should my shinai be doing to prevent my shinai from getting knock off the center? many times my senpai apply pressure on my shinai, and when I strike, it's forced to the side. question 2 what happens if my opponent doesn't react to my seme? do I still commit to men at the moment where I can no longer keep my weight on the left foot? or do I land my right and push off the right foot and step back to regain distance and try again? or do I rush in to tsubazariai / tai atari and then go for some sort of hiki waza?

Ok is not easy to answer this because there are many things that could be happening. for Question 1 it could be that your partner is anticipating you coming in, or that they have a natural strong center and the answer can be very different (and that's just two scenarios) but the simplest answer would be for me to tell you that as you approach you don't have to commit to the men, you put pressure to understand where you should go. You shouldn't close the distance with a premeditated attack. and by doing this you may also fix the problem in question 2 but again without much context is hard to tell you what you could do. Send me some videos to watch over the stream and we can discuss them then.
