@@jaiminsharma Well Shikamaru was holding back probably for a few reasons. 1. "A shinobi must never show their tears during a mission." 2. "A shinobi must never show any weakness." Most of shinobi interprets this to "A shinobi never cry.", but at fault. Also Shikamaru not really know how to handle this bad feelings. Mostly, this is the problem with us. When I'm alone, I'm capable of shedding a few tears because of this, and that. But because of the insecurity, I can't really let it out, even if it's sounds dumb. Cry alone feels unsafe. You really needs a shoulder to cry on, to feel safe, to let your guards down, and let everything out.
@OrielAdirTheGamingIL3 жыл бұрын
I know how it feels to hold your tears for so long, and lying to yourself that it's all fine and that nothing is wrong. but then you understand you just have to admit that's something is wrong, and that you feel bad. And when that happens, you begin to cry like a baby and you realize you just can't stop crying. And while you crying you keep asking yourself what the hell is wrong with you and why it doesn't stop. That's why this scene hits me so hard, it's just like this. Tears has so much meaning, only person who experienced it himself can understand

I didn't cry at this scene, but it did leave an impression. Because.... I know that's EXACTLY how I'm gonna react if someone close to me dies. Blank face, dead eyes, wants to be alone all time, not eat and give me some space rather than grieving with others. And if someone tries to talk to me (esp completely different way than I prefer to be approached) , I'll lash out. Yup, "LET IT ALL OUT" , that's all it will take to break down.. So relatable.. Kinda understand now why we have the same personality type.

I like to see the sides of Naruto and Shikamaru about their master's death : 1 - Shikamaru thought himself like a coward, but his father knows that's not the truth. Shikamaru is a genius and talented ninja. He never would go without a plan against ninjas well skilled ; 2 - Naruto thought himself like someone who can't prove to his sensei all the potential of his training and nindo way. But Iruka says what Jiraya sensei thought about Naruto. It's important to anyone have a support in times like these.
