You know what's great about this piece? It's called "Day and Night." It's also split into four parts, with one bridge. So you can think of the first as "morning," the 2nd as "afternoon" (and the repeating upper piano part representing time ticking away), the violin solo (the bridge) as "sunset," and then the chorus and the chorus repeating itself as "evening" and "night." Makes me play this on repeat, it's great.

It really tore down the line between, "good and bad." :) It was so awesome and even after further thoughts and thinking a little more into the theme it still blew my mind. It was an absolute masterpiece. I loved it for its mixture of emotion and gore. It was so sad and inspiring and the characters were so realistic and relatable. I'll never forget this show.

came back here because it reminds me of my past. and every so while you start to forget, just like the world does. and eventually it becomes hard, and harder to remember when everything that was once the world surrounding you had slowly but in in retrovision so rapidly disappeared. until you live in a world where the places and things you called home have faded in the shadows of Time. at some times the realisation is so real yet so distant that you can no longer feel, no longer feel anything. and at those times you start to feel the fear of having lost yourself where only the darknes and it's ambience in the conscious realization and memory of that and those that was and where now lost or gone as will all you know, is capable of allowing you to feel your hearth, there where most will never go, and will never come, you feel everything at the same time. but you won't understand it, just feel and so the quest to find that what you no longer know what it is continues. A friend of mine, once told me "I just wanted to $@@^ so I could rest" back then I answered "I fear the ethernal rest" but it took me a while to see that we both meant the same. for I did not reference to death, or live, but I referenced to a ultimate infinite void of nothingness. she meant rest, not as in sleep or death, or life, but she also meant rest as in a escape from the building void, as a way of being free and herself, as a way to feel. the scenario however was what tells what it truly means, however I feel like I can not properly explain that here. but you could see it like this, being stuck, manipulated by people who do not know you, but if they did, they would see you as a monster. then seeing them kill your friends and real family seeing them like monsters yet you only realize it when there is except for you only one left being "alive", or for her quite much the same, but then with the ability to actually feel in the moment. I know this does no right to the real story, but there is so much more that happens over Time. the thing is, one of these songs, and the same similarities, it almost perfectly resembled one of my songs which I wrote in a part of my past, then I heard another one resembling another of those songs, both songs I had written based on my experiences and past, to tell a story. it however also included some factors that directly brought back memories about those who once where older, and it clearly brought back the memories of the last time I was young, and the short moments and events before that. well by now I no longer call that true since I have found that people who live as one life of one duration get old. but those who are already that old that their life can no longer age them will always be young, yet at the same time so old that one would be called not truly alive. eventually something gets/is so old that it can no longer get old, and so it always stays young. this however can be a lesson to manny since despite the dark image people get from it, it actually more resembles the truest form of love, since nothing matters anymore, except for that what truly matters to you/is important to you. there is no reason or time to hate on things that are different in others useless they directly destroy what you love. but even then there is no need to hold a grudge, after all, all the do, did, done, where, are. it all is only temporarily, and above all it soon later will no longer matter since all related to it is gone. however back to the story. it resembled those songs so much, and it brought back memories, that was my whole reason for watching the show, however the content of the show also on manny points felt quite similar. btw. it looks like a autobiography where sunako is the main character. it also seems to represents a early love story between her and seishin. here however you have to understand the part where you can no longer get old.

Vokoca Although the pacing was quite slow, I think the purpose of the first half was to allow the viewer to meet the village and sympathize with the humans before turning the tables around :)
@ridinginsaiyan9 жыл бұрын
+FlowerEmblem I agree, we got understand everyone's nature & how things work in this village. After that, everything changes & we can feel every corner of the story.
@LAOK2427 жыл бұрын
The pacing is perfect actually, in just over 20 episodes you pretty much get to know the entire village, their stories, personalities and then boom, everything goes down, I loved it, especially episode 18. The few things I didn't really like are how they completely ditched Natsuno half way trought only to have him show up like 3 times till the end, I didn't even particularly like his character but it felt like the build up of his role in the story was a little overblown, Also they've let out some great parts and big plot points in the extras wich weren't obvious and some of the deaths were unnecessarily brutal (tractor on the head). Other than that, its one of the, if not the best mystery anime I've seen.

it is funny that if you look at the show sunako can be seen as the actual main character as well. and it would basically describe her love story of meeting seishin. here both characters also clearly resemble Fuyumi Ono and Yukito Ayatsuji. as well as manny other references to such a play in the story for example by having chizuru as her daughter. and the direct poems added in. in that sense shiki could be seen as a autobiography
