I've heard a lot of people saying that Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni is not horror, or that it did not scare them; even calling the anime "soft" or "weak". I only want to say that horror is not jumpscares or multiple rape. This is psychological, progressive, it tries to enter in your mind and confuse you, how do you know that you're not living inside of a loop but you're unable to remember when you die or who kills you? nonsense gore and violence is not horror, and those elements don't make an anime or a movie "better" than others that don't have it, it's about everyone's point of view, but man, this anime is amazing and disturbing, either you like it or not. You can't change things just by not believing in them
@lepazziedijon22544 жыл бұрын
I agree with ya. Higurashi is scary for its psycological plots and moments.

What makes this anime so disturbingly good is the lack of gore and the emphasis on psychological horror: repetition of the the process of death and suffering. Every time the characters die and the antagonists win, the empty feeling is so excruciating. The process then repeats itself. One of the best murder mystery anime I’ve seen. And this theme doesn’t creep me out; it actually makes me feel sad. But it’s a beautiful kind of sadness.

Mr. Gentleman erogedownload.com/downloads/ here you can download it. (at h for higurashi) but don't forget to patch it cuz it will increase your reading experience like at least 200%. (if you wanna know just ask I'll explain you why the patches are absolutely important for everyone who wants to read it) higurashifix.wikia.com/wiki/Tweaking_Higurashi_Wiki You'll need to download for each of the releases the specific patches for it from tweaking higurashi wiki.(link above) That's gonna be: -graphics + sprite patch, t -the original music -the second original sound patch (second version or otherwise you'll have to delete all the wa_ files in the folder which give you an error. so choose the stable second sound patch. Optional (but I'd recommend it still) -font patch for better reading -and the translation patch for the chapter 1-4 bundle Sounds complicated, but it really isn't. You'll find that all in these both links. you can simply extract the patches from tweaking higurashi wiki into the main folder of your higurashi thing and when there are already similar files in the folder just replace them with the ones from the patch. And then you're done and you can have an absolutely amazing reading experience - one that will probably even surprise those who already watched the higurashi anime. If you have any questions (regarding game, installation or whatever feel free to ask)

I've never hear of, read or watched a story better than this one, it's just... Amazing. I have no words. And the music is just perfect! The art is not that good in season one to be honest, but in season two it's so beautiful. It's my favourite anime style. And I love all the characters so much, even the bad ones! They all have such lovely and deep stories and in the start the anime is "playing pranks" on you... When I first watched it, I thought it was just gore, but then I started season two. ;_; Oh my God. I was so amazed. There is so much more than just gore. It's love, friendship and touching and deep stories. And it acutally makes sense. And how they all are connected together in a special way only fate can choose... How everyone helps each other in the end. How they just... Just... I'm literally crying, it's just such a beautiful story. With no doubt the best anime I've ever watched. If you haven't watched it yet, just please... For God's sake, watch it! Q^Q

I recently watched the first season of this anime and this soundtrack made a very big impression on me. It is imbued with a sense of some small hope, but everything is interrupted by notes of horror and melancholy, which fill you with fear... At the same time, you feel comfortable, even though you begin to feel a strange sense of tension. It causes so many contradictory emotions, they all seem to dig right into the brain. I think this is the most perfect soundtrack in the horror anime industry

I still get goosebumps when I remember higurashi. Namely, as something forgotten, but knowing that there is a civilization there. Remembering how the guys had a good time and how it turned into a bloody mash. Feeling like Rika saw the same thing every time. Despair, fear, sadness, melancholy, like something forgotten by people - these are the feelings this soundtrack evokes...

you know those animes that gives you an original and personal feeling and aura to it? That makes you leap into their world and makes you want to tell the whole world about it? Higurashi does that..... and this ost is amazing! If you like the type of animes like higurashi, and you like murder/psychological/thriller/blood and all that, I have an amazing list of animes that does everything of what I've written in this comment. you will SERIOUSLY not regret this decision: -Another -Deadman Wonderland -Shinsekai Yori -Psycho-Pass -Shiki As I love all of the above genres, and I love higurashi, you will love these recommendations too, it's guaranteed! Have an AWESOME DAY! This soundtrack (even though dark and gloomy) just lightens up my day :)

I watched this series twice, one when I was a little 11-year-old, and the other was 10 years later. I still remember my visceral reactions to the show, I knew there was so much more going on than just the story but I didn't quite grasp it. It wasn't until my second viewing but I saw just how... relatable all these "crazy" moe anime characters where, and how their personal struggles along with their environment, harbors their descent into madness. I remember how amazed I was at how this show made me feel bad and empathise with it's main antagonist, and how in the end, nobody hated her, they just pitied her. Such an amazing show, I'm so happy that my edgy 11-year-old self found this because of how gory it was, because after the first Arc I realized that it was much more than just cute anime kids killing each other.
