If you don't like her don't watch it. Try reading up on her history (not just this movie) and maybe you might learn something about this truly outstanding person.

I love this movie because: 1) for once you finally explore the duality of Marilyn and how it meant for her to be a character and no longer just a person. A bit extreme the diagnosis of schizophrenia (now diagnosed as borderline personality disorder that in more severe cases may present traits/paranoid attitudes/Schizoids) and suicide (certainly was tired of "that"life but not of life) even if living abusing medical drugs, many type of drugs and alcoohol at certain levels and for years is is already a little suicide..That in any way was definitely unintentional, the proof is that already several times had been "saved" by various overdose. 2) is shown the side "junky " and scruffy, anti-glamoure and poor humanly a person also forced for an appearance/face with which she was born, to have to be/seem always happy 3) Because it also shows how it was perceived by those around (collaborators, close friends etc.)beyond the stardom 4) because it illustrates well how always wanted to enjoy, focus on beauty, and go down to every kind of compromise, eventually become a trap, take away humanity, respect for yourself and bring to the point of "getting tired of beautiful things"😕😔😓

She was not in love with her acting coach. She relied on her opinion to much. But she was definitely heterosexual, not a lesbian. All of you who say she has no talent, when was the last time you made a film? And what do you really know about making films any way. All you have is an opinion. And you know what they say about people who have those don't you?

@darealestdiva18 Her voice didn't change. She made herself sound like that, the soft whisper voice.

i think she was bipolar. im sure she heard voices, but they were probably all hers. she had many obstacles to overcome in her life and the fame didnt help with any of it. if she wouldnt have become a super star, she might still be alive today.

Joe was in love with Marilyn the person not Marilyn the movie star. He was the only one who truly looked out for her.

Who picked Mira Sorvino to play Marilyn? So unconvincing. She looks nothing like her too. Mira is no beauty. Ashley Judd should have played the whole thing.

It annoys me that Mira Sorvino puts on that weird foreign sounding accent. It gets in the way of her performance, which otherwise I think it pretty good. And it's not easy to do a pretty good job playing Marilyn Monroe.

Esta pelicula muestra a Marilyn como una loca que nunca tuvo un exito en cuanto a sus peliculas y no creo que la verdadera marilyn haya estado maldiciendo todo el tiempo
