Most of Shima's "technology" are innovations used in the past by Universal (Germany), Steiger (Switzerland), APM and Protti (Italy), ACE (England), and even Stoll (Germany), all of which have disappeared today with the exception of Stoll.

@@Atenquense The whole garment is the continuation of what was already possible with the Intarsia knitting machines. At the time, it was the Italians who were at the forefront of this technology (Rimach, one of them). APM was a weaving machine that at the time presented a series of innovations: clapet weaving press, motorless yarn holders that were positioned precisely (magnetic) and an extremely precise and well-designed software (later copied by the Japanese). APM, I think, was the only Italian brand, really good quality, rarely gave problems and had a self test that indicated a problem and its possible solution, it was very complete. AMP, disappeared because its main engineer and father of this machine, died in his prime due to a heart attack. It remains to be recognized that Shima knew how to take advantage of all this innovation, improving it and contributing new ideas, to the point of being the number one today. @@juanluisvalenciaga6060 Hola Juan! Que tal? Disculpa la molestia. Estoy interiorizandome en el rubro del tejido de punto. Quería preguntarte que opinión te merecen Protti, Stoll y Shima. Protti sobre todo porque, a día de hoy, los últimos modelos de máquina que se produjeron antes del cierre están a un precio bastante accesible. Shima y Stoll porque actualmente son los dos gigantes del mercado (me gustaría saber cuál de ellos te parece una mejor opción). Por último, si no es mucha molestia, quería saber que opinión te merecen las máquinas chinas (de las cuales desconozco marcas) y si hay alguna de ellas que recomiendes. Disculpa la cantidad de preguntas, pero es un rubro del que es algo difícil informarse y veo que vos sabés mucho del mismo. Saludos y gracias de antemano!

@@zettar1467 Hola Zettar, gracias por tu confianza. Las máquinas tejedoras italianas (Rimach, Protti, etc), fueron muy buenas mientras eran mecánicas, lamentablemente, aparte de AMP, no supieron adaptarse convenientemente a la electrónica (fallos constantes, mala calidad de componentes) como así también el diseño mismo de las camas que guían el paso de las agujas en el carro (quiebre de talones de clavetas seguidos).. Protti al igual que Universal (Alemania) fueron quienes más sufrieron de estos problemas. Queda en todo caso, que las tejedoras italianas, eran las que producían una calidad de malla inigualable, sobre todo en galgas finas, por lo que muy apreciadas en una época. Shima y Stoll, son grandes marcas que ofrecen máquinas con una extensa cantidad de posibilidades, personalmente me gusta más la calidad de malla de Stoll que Shima, siendo esta última más amigable en su software de programación. En calidad de sus componentes y materiales utilizados, pienso que ambas marcas se valen, luego ya es una cuestión del distribuidor de tu zona y su disponibilidad hacia sus clientes. Luego tenemos a las empresas chinas que comienzan a llegar al mercado. En ellas, hay una cantidad de maquinas que se venden bajo diversos marcas, pero que son del mismo fabricante, por lo que cuidado aquí al distribuidor, porque de el depende luego una buena asistencia y formación. La calidad de malla en estas máquinas es aceptable para calidad estándar de tejidos, sus posibilidades de punto parecen ser bastantes y sus rendimientos no pienso sean malos tampoco. En todo caso, si vas a comenzar un negocio de tricots, más vale una máquina nueva china que una de ocasión de Stoll o Shima, porque son máquinas que generalmente se les ha sacado un máximo de productividad y cuyos repuestos y reparación, no son baratos, a menos que te las vendan con garantía. Queda que si la máquina china nueva tiene un precio de venta solo inferior de menos de 20% en comparación a una de ocasión de Stoll o Shima, preferiría estas últimas, siempre y cuando (nuevamente) me las vendan con garantía escrita. The problem with whole garment is that its limited in terms of gauge, weight, shape and design. It suited for minimal garments, but its not suited for anything more complex

Limited as it may be, it bridges a large gap in the market and for issues in industry. It's application is limited but incredibly effective at it's purpose.

Amazing technology, but a higher gague does not necessarily mean better, especially if you're optimizing for garmet longevity.

Higher gauze means thinner fabric, these machines do not produce sweaters or cardigans, they produce fine fabric and clothing meant for all year long as well. To use finer yarn you need higher gauze otherwise you create a very loose fabric that looks like lace itself with huge holes. There is a specific amount of gauze meant for every yarn thickness to make a correct fabric (not too tight, not too loose)

В Стамбуле есть дилеры Шима Сейки,правда обойдётся по дороже. Лучше брат с Китая,по дешевле обойдётся. В последнее время сами Турки везут оттуда.
