Yes, I was disappointed that they didn't release a BFS reel this year. 2023 is turning out to be the USDM BFS year and Daiwa didn't join the party.

The first "bfs" rod i bought was that expride ml+ with a curado bfs and yeah it really was not a true bfs rod. I still want to use it tho, you think pairing with a kestrel elite would work?

I think that’d be a great reel to pair with it. Kestrel elite is really good for the higher weights in my opinion
