THE REEL TEST why the snap swivel is that a preference thing or does it make the lure run differently?

Long pitches can be important for getting your lure deep under overhanging trees where a sidearm cast is just asking for trouble.

Love the vids. I bought the shimano curado dcmy first ever baitcaster. I bought it based off your videos. Question. Can I buy the MGL spool and just drop it in my shimano curado dc?? Will this work and make it perform better?

Friendly advise, buy yourself inexpensive rangefinder, in that case you can easily measure a distance to the sign or other side of the lake. I always bring mine when I do some casting on a water.

Casting is nice to know but what is the longevity of the reel over time and is the price worth it over time?

My oldest bantam is from 2019. I use it about 6 months out of the year. It still feels like new. I'm 31 and I think these reels can outlast me with normal maintenance. I've had revos, tatulas, lews. Shimanos just stay the same or even better after time.

I have the chronarch mgl and just love it ! Casts very well, weight is good, smooth, ergonomics... and also have bantam but have never used! Probably it will surprise me positivily, as you reach to de conclusion that bantam wins

Worst thing that bothered me about the Bantam MGL was the incorrect bearing count. It was me being very picky and OCD, but after looking at a few USDM schematics it has 8+1 just as the Chronarch… I think. Either way, the second some old reels sell I will be adding my second Shimano, either a JDM Metanium or Bantam MGL XG.

No it should be 2 spool, 2 pinion, 2 main shaft, 1 roller bearing, 2 in the knobs for 9 total; just like the Chronarch. The Curado K lacks knob bearings and that is why its total is 7. The Curado 70 however only has 6 total because Shimano didn't include dual support for the main gear/anti-reverse. Very weird because even cheaper Daiwa's include dual mainshaft/anti-reverse support but do not dually support their pinions (honestly the pinion is probably more import to have 2 bearings because the main gear already has the anti-reverse and one bearing).

I was watching.. so the chronarch felt better? So, about that...Damn! Not sure what happened lol. So, one week after ordering an Conquest BFS on Amazon from Japan, DHL sent me a msg about the another product coming. I thought it was just my number bugged in their system but no. lol So, after looking for the reason of the weird order, I noticed that Amazon.co.jp has a buy it in one click button. Maybe that was it. And it`s kind of crazy, you accidentally click and something is sent over seas without any need of a confirmation. But I don`t know, I didn`t clicked that to check lol. I tried to cancel but I would have to pay 2 days shipping to Japan through DHL and pay tax to Jp. So, I`m keeping it.
