I found one of these in a freshwater creek and i cleaned up the outside as best as i could and it spun alright but 6 months later i came back to it and it crunched. I found this video and could disassemble and re-assemble the whole reel again getting all the mud out. This video gets straight to the point and shows everything and explains it all. great video, probably the most helpful video to follow along i've watched since i watched how to tie a bow tie 15 yeaar ago.

I just discovered your channel and am loving it! I do the same thing as soon as I get a reel...crack it open! This reel is based on the Casitas, which is one of my all time favorites, regardless of price, and I have over 100 baitcasters! My standard lubes are sil-glyde brake grease on gears, lucas or BPS red oil on frame and other bearings, and ardent reel oil on spool bearings. If I really want super high performance, I use Remoil on spool bearings! So fast, but needs reapplication more often. Keep up the good work!

Thanks man haha honestly not that many because I have problems and have way too many reels to use 😂 But I’ve caught a couple on it so far, it’s a decent reel for the price for sure and they just came out with a new version of it which I’ll probably want to get too! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣🤙🏽

Yeah man it’s the cheapest casting reel Shimano makes for the American market.
