nearly as good as the XT m730. Maybe you should try it? a description from myself would only be subjective.

I have a similar Deore LX RD, but the Center hub pops out of the jockey wheels. Wondering do I need to grease them when putting back together?

When new, no, but with age a smidge of grease will do wonders

Hey bro! Do you think its possible to use some goat link with this derailleur so i can run a 10speed cassete? I have the same rd and was thinking if its possible..😂

Haven’t tried it. 3X10 or 1X10? The goat link should allow for a higher range cassette. I’m just wondering wether chain slack will be an issue. 10 speed derailleurs have longer cages or are shadow so they can take up the slack. I think I’ve seen this done beforee (posted on a forum)

@@atboy4342 its going to be a 1x10 set up. I thought so too that there might be problems with chain slack.

@@fishowned I’m thinking if the cassette range isn’t too great, maybe. I’d try it if you already have the shifter, cassette and crank. Goat link is not expensive so not a big deal if it doesn’t work.

@@atboy4342 i still don’t have the cassette but planning on buying a cheap one first off the fb marketplace..🤣 also., do you have any idea if the hub on the shimano stx rc fh-mc38a can accommodate a modern 10s cassette?😅

Yeh according to the manual, the MC38 was sold 8 speed, so definately can take 10s @@fishowned
