As a tackle snob, I certainly agree, the exprides B is a beautiful rod. I exclusively use Nrx,conquests, steez and P5s. These rods hang with them for sure at half the price. I still love my snob tackle, but the exprides found a home on my arsenal.

Agreed. I talked about this in some of other videos. Shimano, megabass and even Daiwa have very well constructed rods. G-loomis have quality control issues with esthetics but they also have the best blanks.

@@ChewyThaoFishing great video! I throw a lot of weightless senkos, shallow cranks, and poppers. Do you think this rod would do well with those applications?

Yeah a 2500 size reel would pair really well. I got a 2500 vanford light as a feather. 10lb braid to 7-8lb fluror leader 👌🏼
@umairfaizuddin3429
@umairfaizuddin3429 8 ай бұрын
@JinnyBoy20203/8th oz cranks might be pushing it. Max lure weight it recommends is 7/16 which technically means 3/8 would fit in that, but there are better rods for the job. I generally dont go over 1/4-5/16 oz with this one. Step up in power if I want to throw something in that range. I would look into a heavier rod power like a medium light-medium if you want to go the spinning route. Or just grab a specific cranking baitcaster rod if it’s something you throw a lot.

Also keep in mind the gauge of wire on your hooks. Some trebles have thicker diameter wires than others and the light spinning rod won’t allow you to penetrate the hooks properly unless theyre thinner

I recently purchased the 6' 10" ML model and the rod is pretty dang soft but I think the action is gonna be money for ned rigs, dropshots and small jerkbaits. I have mine paired with the new Exsence 3000 and it's the lightest combo I own. It feels unreal with how light and balanced it is.
@ChewyThaoFishing

Yup! That’s the common theme but that faster action will help with sensitivity and overall performance. Excited to land some giant smallies with this rod!

Love my 2 expride b rods. I got the 7’2 ml and the 7’6mh and they both say versatile on the rod. I wonder if all there rod say versatile on them. But I love my 7’2 ml for Ned rig mostly but you can easily fish drop shot and weightless senkos no problem. I use my 7’6 for Carolina rigging and football jigs and you can do a lot more with it if you want. With that being said the rod is sensitive, light and looks sweet. Great video and keep up the great work👍

Thanks for watching, Jason! That 7'2 ml has been talked about quite often on my threads - it definitely is on my list for the next spinning modle. You are right on about the rods being sensitive. I would say that they are on par but the Expride may have the advantage. St croix has a history of having rods that are labeled as fast action but they are more towards the moderate action. St croix has always been a walleye rod manufacturer and it shows a little bit with the action tapers.
