+1 for Shimano winter shoes. Super solid for winter fat biking in New England. I will say, the waterproofness does fade. I’m running gorilla tape under the insole of mine

Essential for me once the temperature dial says 3 degrees C or below. I have a pair and have worn them in the UK winter - comfy, warm, waterproof and easy to keep clean - brilliant 👍

Really like ‚em. Tip from me for winter riding in these: Injinji Merino Liner Socks + your choice of medium weight socks on top (and for longer rides a spare pair of second layer socks either warmer or colder).

I ride in Shimano MW5 boots, comfortable shoes for temperatures from +10 to -5, but they run small, I take 1 size larger.

I have these and the Lake winter road shoes. The shimanos have outlasted almost every pair of shoe, I would like the top flap to maybe be a little stretchy to be easier to open and close, but otherwise a great winter shoe for the SF Bay Area.

Have a Shimano shoe, not these ones though, and it’s amazing how durable they are. I’m quite shocked at how well they hold up even, the entry level shoes, when they have a more premium product line(S-PHYRE).

I think this is the mw702, there is also the mw701 but that may have been discontinued. 😂 I bought the 701 because there was a big sale on them when they released the 702. Anyways, it's an excellent excellent shoe. Decent water resistance and great warmth.

Really tempting to just cut a hole in my old doc martens, glue in one of those steel insoles for preventing nails coming thru the soles, and just drill in some spd cleats thru it lol

7 out of 12, because 7 is considered a lucky number, a play on a number because most people would actually be thinking 7/10, and the equivalent rating on a 1-10 scale would be 5.8333, which is rather sucky for such an expensive shoe you're only going to wear 4 months max.
