I have a slx dc, no thumb required til right before it hits the water. Which honestly if you set it up right, they're all like that 😂 run the tension knob out til bait falls slowly and run your brakes back til you get a backlash, go back one and you're golden 🤙

У меня скорпион от шумано 8.2.1 долго мучился, в инете учился настройкам таких катушек. Раз выставил тормоз, и забыл, только шпулю регулирую, отпустил до земли, в роде бы все ок, но борода при забросе. 1 момент, я кидываю резко как на инарционке, а надо плавно, и при этом страхую при забросе, против ветра, большим палец на "изговке" зажать при касании приманки и воды.и все вопросы решены

Tune the landing tension knob. It helps to not backlash. Hold the rod at a 0 degree angle, parrallel to the ground. Have the weight 0.2 meters from the tip of the rod. Tighten the knob towards you a lot, and slowly turn it awah from you until the weight falls slowly and when it hits the ground, it doesn't backlash.

Not adjusted right. You don’t adjust these like normal bait casters read the book it will tell you how. If you’ve used bait casters a lot then it’s gonna be pretty scary the first few times because you think it’s gonna backlash like crazy because there is very little braking until you cast it and if you set it to tight then the little generator thingy in it won’t produce enough current to stop it correctly. If it’s adjusted correctly then you won’t have to use thumb at all.
