Right on, glad it helped 😃 the new Stradic FM came out this year so if it fits your budget, i'd try that one out vs. the FL. It has newer improvements and I'm mainly interested in the new anti-twist fin on the bail 👍🏽

How do you like the Power Stick and Team Daiwa rods in term of casting distance? Do they cast far, if so how far do you think you can cast each of those rods on an ideal-sized lure? And how are their tips? Are they fast or medium fast and have pretty flexible tips? I'm asking because I'm looking to buy a surf rod that can cast far. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions if you can, I appreciate it!

For my needs I love them. Da daiwa (MH) is a foot longer but da power stick has more action because it's a Med. If your looking for a rod to cast lures it all depends on how heavy of a lure your casting. Da rods I use have a heavier lure rating because I use dem for dunking (bait and wait) as well. I'd say your safe bet (depending wut type of fish your trying to catch) using a lure would be with a ML to M rod or a salmon/steelhead rod. Some popular rods are da okuma celilio and SST, tica salmon rod, uglystick GX2, or Phenix trifecta lite and cicada. It all depends on your preference on handle length/type and weight, but any of those should fit your needs. Aim for a rod dats a little heavier than your heaviest lure, use da line type it's rated for, and a 9’-11’ rod and you should be golden. Hope this helps 👍🏽

I got the Vanford 4000 a few months back & am loving it. Thinking about getting a smaller Stradic since I do a lot of inshore fishing. But i would also like to pair the same rod i have the Vanford on with the comparable Stradic to do a true side by side.

Hmm I’ve only had the stradic 3k and 4K w/ a 5K spool. The vanford 5K was closer to my 3K so maybe a stradic 2500 or 3K (I have another video showing comparisons) . If your going for smaller game a 2500 should be good and the spool is interchangeable with the 3K.

It has da shimano x protect coating on it to repel water and the body of it is supposed to be designed where it helps da water flow out. Da drag also has rubber gaskets to help prevent water from entering. Of course a fully sealed reel would be da best bet but shimano did it this way to keep da reel light. I have heard some complaints about the bail having issues and da reel starts making loud noises but I’ve used mine a handful of times and haven’t had a problem…yet lol. I make sure to rinse it after every use and I’ve heard other people saying they haven’t had any issues either. For people with problems it could be they had a defective model (since this model is new) or they fish with it a lot more than I do. Only time will tell but it probably depends how much you fish. If your fishing 3-5 days a week it would probably be better to stick with da FL or get a sealed reel to be safe. Hope this helps 🤙🏽

I fish 3-5 days a week in the Northeast and usually rock a Penn Spinfisher VI or Slammer III, workhouse reels.. semi-sealed and super easy to service yourself and care for. I don't mess around with the VS egg beaters..too much $$ and I have mouths to feed. Be safe brudda.

I have a vanford 5k, but I would not use it for surf fishing. Sea water splash may not be an issue, but what if you accidentally drop it? I also have Straidc SW 6k, that's what I use in surf.

It depends on what type of fishing your doing but I think 8’-10’ is ideal 👍🏽

how many meter line u spool on venford 5000...and what's the daimeter of that line?

I not sure of da exact yardage because I do it myself but Shimano says da 5K can hold 235 yds. and da spool I bought is 330 yds. It looks to be true because I have about a 1/4 left on da spool. Also, da 30lb. braid has a diameter of 8lb. test mono. Hope dis helps and mahalos for da support 🤙🏽

hmm that depends how what type of fishing you're doing. I have 30lbs. on my vanford 5K and 50lbs. on my FL 5K

@@aroshanrai5213 Da vanford is a little bigger than my FL but it's also a little lighter. I'm not sure how much of a difference both 5K's are but their spools are interchangeable so i'd imagine they're the same or pretty close.

Yup a bigger spool and that the 5K is a little heavier and comes with a power knob. But if you don’t care about the knob, the 4K and 5K spools are interchangeable. If you can find a 4K that’s cheaper you could buy a 5K spool for like $60-70

Привет дорогой друг! Как ты уже знаешь, я из твоего видео ни чего не понял. Поэтому хочу тебя спросить, могу ли я использовать Vanforb 4000 как универсальную катушку? Смогу ли я на эту катушку ловить на силиконовую тяжёлую приманку на большой реке и смогу ли я на эту катушку ловить на воблеры на маленькой реке? Или всё таки искать Vanforb 3000 для этих целей?

@@user-bd2to2re5u no worries, I had to use google translate to help me understand as well lol. From what I gather I would say it probably depends more on the size of line you are throwing. Depending on the size of your braid or mono, i'd compare it to the reel size your looking at. I'm not sure what type or size of fish your aiming for, but the vanford is more of a finesse reel so if it's fresh water you should be good. If the fish your going for doesn't peel line far, then you could go for the 3K. If they fight hard and peel line off i'd go with the 4K because you'll have more line (4K and 5K can swap spools also) and more drag to fight the fish. Hope this helps and good luck 👍🏽
