In this video I show you how to disassemble a shimano stradic 3000 FI. This also shows you how to disassemble any stradic FI, as they are all relatively the same. I also show you how to re-assemble the reel after it has been completely taken apart. If you have any questions contact me at SRQ Fishing Oasis at (941) 388-7234 or come by and see me and I'll help you any way I can. You can also just drop your reels off with me and I'll service them for you at the best price around. Service of reels normally takes between 1 and 3 days and all spinning reels cost $14 for service, baitcasters and conventional reels below size 4/0 are also $14, 4/0 and larger are $20.

*Great reel, **enjoyable.fishing** recommend very smooth and I love that you can change from left hand to right hand so easily. Gave it a 4 on durability because I haven’t had it long enough to rate it. Doing good so far.*

Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod kzbin.infoUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.

*It's a Penn so the quality is there. I really like the 2500 for speckled trout fishing **allabout.wiki/01fs** I throw jig bait with 10 lb mono. I like the 2500 for this better then the 2000. Glad they added this size to the line up*

I use Superlube synthetic grease and apply it with the cheap acid brushes from the plumbing section at the hardware store. Works great, might even be overkill.

Yeah, do you know the Allen Key size for the lock screw on the Stradic Ci4+? The schematics are not very helpful on that aspect. It's abnormally small.

My Stradic got soak the other day. I did all the basic preventative maintenance. Today it sounds a little rough. Is there A way to get to the gears inside without taking off the reverse bearing and all those parts?
@srqfishingoasis
@srqfishingoasis 10 жыл бұрын
No, you can't get the gears out with out taking those parts out. The reel needs to be completely taken apart and serviced.

Hello SRQ. I would like to ask you what would be better for Penn reels gearing. Penn blue grease or Super Lube Grease. I just want to know your opinion.

First - Thank you for a very informative video. One complaint - Please check your focus point next time! It is set at the front where you are putting objects down and you are doing all your work about 3-5 inches behind the focus point. It is difficult to see what you are doing and it is really playing with my mind as I try to focus on what you are doing. I think a video on the bail spring (as others have requested) would be a good idea.

For anyone that might be able to help me please comment. I have an old pole from the 50's, maybe early 60's.The only making it has on it is on the backside above the reel grip and it says phantom bantam. I just want to know more about it because it belonged to my grandfather. Any info is appreciated, thanks.
