@ yessir! I get all my reels from them, but I will say if you place an order over $800 you get hit with international tax duties. So just keep it under $800. Personally, I like the certate more still, it’s my current favorite reel even more so than my Stella’s and saltiga, but I gotta say the twin power felt a lot more “solid”. My certate has given me zero issues, but deep down in my soul I feel like the twin power would hold up longer if you’re trying to buy a life-long reel. The new twin power feels like a better stronger version of the current Stella

@@Trodjohnson high end shimanos are hard to beat. If you absolutely love shimano reels you’ll probably prefer them to daiwa, but that’s how I used to be and now I slightly prefer daiwa so who knows? I see daiwa has released a new 2024 “luvias” and it looks like a mini certate for less money. Japanese sites like digitaka have these reels basically half off because of the exchange rate. The yen is down hard compared to the dollar, and for some reason when I order a reel from Japan it never takes more than 3 days to get here.

What do you think of the 24 certate and the 23 saltiga?
@AikenAngling4 ай бұрын
@@TrueWord66 I prefer to use the certate since it’s a bit lighter, but the saltiga feels much more solid/durable. I’m down saltwater fishing this week and I brought the saltiga with me and left the certate at home. But when I’m freshwater I use the certate. The certates drag is louder, and I might be imagining it but I feel like I get a good bit more casting distance with the certate. In my opinion the certate is the most fun spinning reel to fight fish on at the moment, and the saltiga feels like an indestructible tank so if you’re choosing between the two I’d go with certate if you want something more sensitive/involved or the saltiga if you just want something that’ll last forever.

I noticed I've to pay more attention to line management on the new Vanquish.I use always YGK X-braid which is stiffer than most other brands.I remember one time not paying attention and when I looked at the spool I saw three loops which could have easily caused wind knots.Something I've never seen before.I read online people having issues with this slow oscillation , especially when fishing at night. Next up comparison Vanquish -Airity or new Luvias-new Vanford ?😅 I've no problem at all with my Certate FC LT.
@AikenAngling5 ай бұрын
@@Boris29311 yeah I was shocked that shimanos new line management system seems to be more of a gimmick than anything. Don’t get me wrong, I still love these shimanos, but I just love the certate way more than I was expecting to. I’ve been eyeing those airitys for a while now, i have the 2019 Luvias-airity prototype and it’s easily my fav ultralight spinning reel. But I hear the vanquish is the ultralight king. But then that new Luvias looks like a mini certate so I’m having a hard time choosing what’s next! Thanks so much for watching my stuff man!

Hi bro, I want to know how does the line lay between the two reels. I have great confidence with Shimano reel. The reason I ask is if the line lay is perfect, it will eliminate wind knots more effectively. I am looking at the daiwa but am a bit sceptical.
@AikenAngling5 ай бұрын
@@seanleau so I talk about that a bit in the middle of this vid, the shimano infinity loop line management systems lays line more evenly than any other reels I’ve ever used, but surprisingly the certate casts further and out of the two reels, only the shimano gave me a wind knot. I would have thought the shimanos would have done better with that new system, but the daiwas seem to cast further and avoid knots more. I always thought daiwa was full of it with how they make their spools lay line top-heavy by design, but it seems like they know what they’re talking about in my experience!

Easy decision really. Twin Power 10 year warranty. Certate 5. Diawa don’t back there product like Shimano do.
@AikenAngling5 ай бұрын
@@antonb8422 not gonna lie, the shimano does feel more “solid” than the certate, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s more durable. But the main reason I initially switched to daiwa was that I saw all the Australian anglers who fight 50-200lb saltwater fish all use daiwa because they fail on them less. And since then, I honestly just prefer the way daiwas feel/perform. But I will say, with high end reels like these it really does mostly boil down to personal preference

@@AikenAngling Hey mate. I’m from Aus and we all use Stella’s on the big stuff. Nothing else compares. Even then we still get busted up. As I said. Why are you not gettimg into the features of the reel as in how the pinion gears are supported and how the spools are supported and size and number of teeth on gears and tolerances on the main parts of the reels or talk about drags in detail. It just feels like your trying to not say that in this case the twin power absolutely destroys the certate in tech and tolerance and longevity and heat tolerance of drag. Id love some more in depth reviews its ok to b a fan boy of 1 maker its all about what u have fun using but especially between these 2 reels or airity and vanquish they are direct competitors and a informed review would b very helpful to people. I personally dont think exist and stella are even close to being direct competitors as one focuses on brung highest end light weight reel and one focuses on just being the most solid and smooth reel ever made, thier are clear instances a stella is better and clear instances a exist is a better choice but for the other high end reels they are basically sane weight nd specs in thier respective price points. It would b cool to see you go through all technologies in these reels and whats truely newer and innovative and whats just a rebranding of old tech and what really has practical use and whats marketing BS.

@@fishingsince8824 when I uploaded this vid, there were already dozens of videos going over the specs and numbers on paper, and you can find the specs online easily. Personally I care a lot more about how the reel performs and feels in use than I do about what the numbers on the paper say. All I can do is give my honest opinion of what I genuinely think of each reel. For me, personally, I’ll take the certate all day. They’re both great reels, but the certate is exactly what I want as far as feel and use goes. Since I got it I almost never reach for my Stella’s or saltiga anymore, I just love it. And technically I think I own more shimanos than daiwas so I’m definitely not just a fan boy of one brand, I love them both!
