Just a short video to hopefully help you out a bit. I'm no expert but it's how I did mine to keep the cross hairs central on the screen

I asked you about the Pard on a springa, thank you for your response, it actually was Russ that mentioned you already used 1 on a HW97 so you can blame or credit him for our previous communication. From me, thank you both for taking time to respond to my inquiry. Best wishes lads Kev Australia

Hi, I've managed to zero my pard adding four shims at the back. However, the crosshairs are now bottom right of screen. To bring them up, do I add more shims? Also, in the box came a small aluminium block with a tiny screw in the centre. Any ideas where it fits and what it's for? Thanks.
@Wolverineverminshooting

You need to shim a bit more. The little metal thing is if you are putting it on a picatinny rail

I have ooften thought that Air Rifle manufacturers should get rid of these 11 millimetre dovetail rail 's and switch over to the picatinny or weaver types. Am I correct in this thinking? I ask because, quite obviously, you have far more experience in shooting PCP rifle than I could ever hope to have.

Unfortunately most rifles come with the dovetail

@@Wolverineverminshooting Yes, precisely my point, I guess! There would be none of the 'scope sliding' issues with the Picatinny rail, and scopes and or 'dot sights' would stay put much more firmly too.

@@regsparkes6507 I've never had any problems with scopes moving on any rifles, whether it's been on a 22.250 or a Springer. I've never owned or even seen a rifle with a weaver rail. I see your point though. More surface area will give more grip

@@Wolverineverminshooting Yeah, on several Facebook groups and searched Google and KZbin too, and they are all basically the same that I've found so far. Saying it needs shimming and why and the benefits etc, much like yours. I'm not knocking it, I was just hoping to see it actually being done. Showing where the shims actually went as they are pretty hard to see an one that's already set up. Also got my coke can strips ready cut for the left/right shimming but no knowing wheres best place to put them 😔 Seen a few videos similar to yours and the comments are similar to mine on yours that they not showing the shimming process being done 😞
@Wolverineverminshooting
@Wolverineverminshooting 3 жыл бұрын
I explained where to put them, put a couple of strips of can at the back just inside the screw and that will lift the back up. To shim left or right a bit of can on the front or back part of the mount. I didn't bother with left or right just elevation

The mount could be moving, don't over tighten the pard mount or it will snap. You will have to use a locator pin between the pard and the gun to stop it moving

You shouldn't get cross over unless you fit the pard straight on to a dovetail without the 2 adapters. Without the adapters it sits around 5mm to one side, so once you go past your zero it will start shooting to one side. Shouldn't have any problems putting it straight on to a weaver rail
