Another excellent review Steve. Love the compactness and the way its mounting system works. Hopefully they do bring out updates for it as it needs the BC function to compete with the ATN and also the range finder version is about as much use as a Choc Teapot with out the connectivity to an auto BC. That said the rest of the features make it far nicer than the ATN 4K and it makes the gun more manageable and less top heavy especially as your was mounted to a BP and thus weight and balance all to the rear where it has far less effect.

cracking review STEVE i have watched this twice once before just having a nose and now because i am really thinking of getting one in all fairness it looks really good i had the ATN i found the reticle really small so there was no spaces to use hold over the day quality was rubbish but in the night i did come alive then having to add another battery because it will eat normal batteries in minutes and then the issue with it wont come under 27 yards all that was enough for me is the reticle the same as a normal scope in this on big with nice spacing on the mildots i hope you and the family is well keep safe and keep the videos coming all the best P.P.P.C

Can't agree more. ATN sucks. I bought an ATN, nothing but trouble with it. Cut filter sticking, fishing coaster to alter focus easier, supplied IR unit a joke, homemade cap for day use to improve the clarity of the picture, awful video quality. Avoid ATN like the plague! I have now bought a PARD NV008, and it is an absolute game changer. Excellent quality day and night. For the WiFi use OKcam app (IOS or Android), works fine. Great review, well done.

Steve, I think the port is a transfer port only, not a charging port, (my understanding), that's the case with my NV007 anyway. Some people try to charge via the port and fry the kit! I love my NV007, I use it on rabbits out to 100 meters + and on foxes out above this, no problem. Good on rats also when using the air rifle. Got to he honest though; I think the NV008 loses out to the ATN big time due to the lack of the balistic calculator. The ATN's calculation ability is bloody amazing and for air gun users, it's a real game changer. Fit the ATN rangefinder, ping the range button and bang, spot on the crosshairs everytime any distance, any angle. Add the fact that the ATN takes incline into consideration and you can shoot a woodie up a tree at 10 meters in one shot, then at the press of a button, you are spot on for a rabbit down an incline at 50 meters, no holdover required. I still prefer my NV007 however as I can swap it from scope to scope rifle to rifle with no need to re-zero, (which for me is good), where as you can't swap the integrated scope IR's from one gun to another without re-zeroing each time. Each to their own though and the NV008 is certainly compact. Take care.
@airgunology4 жыл бұрын
I have tried it on the NV008. This port doesn't connect to computer to transfer and only charges.

@@airgunology Hi Steve, got one, fantastic kit, game changer, copied someone else's idea on air gun forum to make a note of cross hair X & Y co-ordinates at different zero's. i.e. 40yds rabbit/20yds rats so can quickly reset scope for different permissions. Something you might want to mention on your channel is that irritating rubber eye cup that keeps coming off. II found it awkward to look through in its normal position anyway & like you say it keeps coming off. However with a bit of stretching you can push it all the way over the diopter focus ring so the rubber lip drops over the rear of the ring it not only makes it super secure but also in my case makes it work much better.
@pcppestcontrol4 жыл бұрын
Forgot to add, if the eye cup is moved over the diopter ring new venting holes will need to be punched into the rubber where its free from contacting the ring ,otherwise the lens may mist over, it did with me before I punched in the holes, I punched in three, works fine.

PARD 008 LRF is good but not as good as all the reviews tell us! Best features (Excuse to buy ;-) are the built in torch with night vision, the built in range finder, good battery life and ease of replacement, it also is used in the normal scope position. Down side, 6.5 base zoom = terrible target accusation, picture quality ok but no were near as good as glass. I use it as I am lazy and everything is in 1 package and it all weighs the same as a 40mm scope, during the day in shaded woods or dark barns, its one tough to night vision, BRILLIANT ! and "IF" you want it there is good video (do you need it?), Always remember if you shoot mainly in day light this is nothing like good glass. one shot zero is GREAT But setting up the unit height to achieve this is a pain OR again if like me your lazy, another £100 for the quick set Eagle vision mount ! Due to lock down I managed to save and buy one, it is very nice but if you cant afford it don't think you are missing out, it is not the answer to all things ! its simply another NICE to have ! I now think a 007 added to my good glass may have been better ? Just my opinion ............. O the £200 range finder ? the read out sits next to the reticule OMG its so nice to have, worth every penny. Having been with out a range finder for a week in the past and a round trip of 300 miles to retrieve it ! Conclusion PARD 008 LRF ""jack of all Trades" ....... master of but a few ! ... look long and hard at your shooting needs.

Excellent review. About the batteries, they are what they call flat top 18650. Two serious items which you didn't mention. 1) Don't let the battery completely run down otherwise this will cause problems, 2) the little red light which indicates the unit is on and when in sleep mode it is still on so if you go to remove the battery make sure the unit is completely switched off otherwise like the completely discharged battery will cause problems. To resolve both of these you have get an update on a micro card from your reteller and place this in the unit and upload the program and it is then ready for use again. You may have to reload your personal settings again. My friend has the NV008LRF and he loves it. As you state it's so light and compact yes it does take a while to get use to the buttons but once mastered it's a piece of cake. Mine is ordered and on the way should be here for the weekend. Going to sell my Yukon Photon RT 6X50 S, plus the rechargeable batteries and charger that I bought with it.

Nice review. I have spent years chasing a set up, that I consider could not be beaten. After putting one of these on top a HW110, my search is over. Eagle vision mount, and a Boblov style range finder bolted to the side. Game over.

A great review! I've been shopping for a night vision scope for about a year. I've narrowed it down to either the Pard NV008 or Luna Optics LN-G3-RS50. They're not cheap and I tend to over research my big ticket purchases. You've ALMOST got me sold on this. Do you know or have an opinion on Luna Optics? They have a day/night rifle scope the LN-3G-RS50. It's very simular to the Pard NV008 in function, size and price but nobody seems to have any information about it. Your thoughts or opinion on Pard vs Luna Optics would help great. I'm not a hunter but I do have a lot of varmints around my 5 acres. I'd like a day/night scope for my Ruger 10/22 and occasionally swap onto my CZ Scorpion 9mm SBR. I'm not too proud to say that "tacti-cool" is a factor in my decision.

James, sorry never played with the Luna or even seen one and so cannot really comment. All I can say is that if you can afford the NV008 LRF, then you won't be disappointed. I does normally require shimming on the rail, so be aware of this.
@jamesrevell64754 жыл бұрын
@@airgunology thanks for the reply. I just became aware of the shim issue and will hold off purchase until the matter is resolved. i'm not the best DIY guy. ended up calling Luna and the reason for so little information is because it's a new product and the manufacture has been delayed due to virus.

Hi Steve, great video. I'm getting back to air-gunning again after 30 years! More leisure time at long last. I have recently aquired a .22 HW 100 KT. I shall be buying the 008 standard package, and would like to ask you, is the picatinny rail that is supplied adequate in YHO. If not, which one do you recommend. Subbed your channel. Stay safe.

Great video.. can you have the screen set-up so you can see that the gyroscope is working , ie the rifle isn't canting ( level) ?

Absolutely, solid information Steve. I e wondered how it works and now i don’t have to waste my time.... Pard is clearly my pick aswell. Whilst I am really desperate for a cheap but good thermal scope. Wonder if ghat could ever be an upgrade?? If you find it in your wheelhouse, maybe you ca do a review on a thermal setup?? Cheers bud

Good review Steve Iv'e had a look through the Pard 008 LRF and its a great bit of kit. You don't need a BC as you can use the mildots same as on a normal scope
@airgunology5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, bet they add BC soon though :)

Hi . Long after the event I know but I was wondering if you had any idea if the latest Pard LRF as of Oct 2020 would handle the recoil of a Remington RNP22DC NPSS air rifle . Thanks in advance .

Watched your vid, ordered a Pard, and now the ATN 4K 5 - 20 has to go. I do wish it had a bit more zoom, maybe the focus wasn't quite so touchy, and it came with an adjustable base. It's still allot better.
