David a lovely little tree, just an observation do you think one/two of the lower branches near the trunk could be removed to get rid of the "saucer" look and the give tree an elongated look?

I'll have to have a closer look at it. I do what to change the angle of the tree so it might help with those lower branches. Thanks

What species of juniper is that? And how long do you leave the wire on them?

Shimpaku juniper. At least 6 months should be enough. They are slow growing and very rarely does the wire bite in.
