6:04:49 I would like to point out that I was strung out and forgetful at 9 AM after staying awake all night, these are the wrong chords. There is an A pedal tone underneath all of them, I was two-thirds correct with each of my first two options (C first, Bm second). The A bass means it's more like Am7 Bm/A Am. thank you.

idk man it sounded great to me also loved the *something* for everyone's souls @ 6:47:20 super enjoyed the run

One of the best RPGs out there. So dark, so tough. Thanks for running it!
@ShinerCCC2 жыл бұрын
It's not tough at all on Normal mode. I submitted Hard any% but I'm glad they brought Freedom in with me for this unique meatspace event. Maybe I'll get a Hard mode remote run in some later year! 👀

this is actually one of the best things the internet has to offer. two top guys running a game that's grindy, intimate, repetitive and addictive in a bad sense (but awesome), turning it into a very entertaining show of generous length. also features an impossibly charismatic comentator! Nobody EVER enjoyed watching me play this game, or any Atlus game for that mattrer. Iin fact my GF hated it, but Freedom and Shiner made it actually very varied and interesting. Ace video, performance and cause.

Thank you very much, to the runners and staff. Always love a SMT3 run, equally as entertainig as the run from pinkpajamas all the years back.

I'm so glad I was baited by "Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry Series" otherwise I think I never would've played this god level RPG, still got my copy that crashes every time I use freigukel lol

It took me a week to watch this run in the moments I had after work . Loved it. I was walking my dogs and i kept hearing "rakukaja, sukukaja" in my head, echoing.

I'm just gonna say this: it's terryfing for me to see how shiner knows by heart the puzzle boy game ☠
@ShinerCCC7 ай бұрын
I was decent at it before the marathon but I spent most of my hours in the practice room really getting it down. I worked out a blindfolded solution but memorizing it was going to be hopeless a few days before the marathon...also there was a mistake in it anyway
@GeneFreakPlays2 жыл бұрын
Might have been Stage 19 where I gave up the Puzzle Boy back in the day after some hours of playing and I remember it was so hard to put the controller down and give up... Great to see someone beat it in a flash!

I bought Nocturne when it released and I absolutely loved it. I remember grinding the final dungeon to get my character to level 255, even though the UI capped at 99.

Great run. HD remake for me. Mainly cause of skill choosing. Here's hoping we get a devil saga remaster

>Mainly cause of skill choosing. Oh gods same! After playing it once on PS2 I never wanted to touch random skills ever again. Also same reason why I bought Persona 4 Golden.

No offense to the donation reader but jesus, the repeated "mothman mothman mothman" and "puzzle boy puzzle puzzle boy" etc was exceedingly grating 90% of everything else including run, commenter and donations were perfectly fine but that was kind of annoying

Good lord... I'm 18 minutes in and the announcer just needs to chill out. Very loud interruptions, forcing the runners to talk about donation incentives when they literally just said they were going to play a little tune... I mean come on, next time please just let them do their thing.
@ShinerCCC Жыл бұрын
nah I think we had a good dynamic. More interruptions early on when there's a lot of game mechanics to introduce but they carried us at the end when we were tired and strung out in the Tower of Kagutsuchi. If I had something to talk about during a boss fight I told em off good. Hardly any dead air with no rehearsal, pretty good in my opinion
@tresman91 Жыл бұрын
If the audio had been balanced better she would have been more fun to listen to for sure. As it is I had to turn down the video when she talked. Honestly audio balancing is such a huge issue for these kinds of events, really wish we could get it figured out.

It feels wrong to play Nocturne on anything other than Hard difficulty
@GhostKumo2 жыл бұрын
Most Nocturne runners run True Demon End on Hard. It's also like a 13-14 hour long marathon run; very cool run, but harder to fit on a schedule. I recommend checking out the online run of that category that is on this channel by PinkPajamas, or Shiner's or Pajama's run for events like ReallyReallyLongAThon.
@ShinerCCC2 жыл бұрын
Agreed! But the option is there.
@Lincolnlogsoff Жыл бұрын
Why? If you don't change any options and play it how the developers intended the difficulty is normal.
@KatelynTea7 ай бұрын
@@Lincolnlogsoff actually the game seems to have been built around hard mode, the way normal is easier is because the game just cuts all enemy damage in half (as well as shop prices being cheaper) so it's clear that hard was the difficulty the devs built the game around. Either way play the game how you want don't let anyone stop you
@freedom_pulse976 ай бұрын
@@KatelynTea This is not entirely accurate. The original JP-only release of the game, in addition to not having Dante, the fiends, or the Amala Labyrinth, also only had one difficulty setting which was kinda halfway between what we now have as Normal and Hard. You took about 1.5x the damage of Normal mode (or 75% the damage you take on hard), shop prices were what you see on our Normal Mode, and the run rate was lower than Normal. But you still had some of the "hard mode" elements like guaranteed crits on back attacks. So *technically* the game wasn't built around either difficulty setting available to us in this case.

1:32:26 if people are going to donate with these kinds of messages don’t read them. No amount of money gives you an excuse to be an asshole. This was obnoxious and annoying. Embarrassing that this was read aloud.

Mothman is a meme in the smt community and is loved by most of the smt runners and it has its own Emote. nothing about this is being an asshole and what not. So chill down and enjoy the run

Its a meme bro chill
@freedom_pulse972 жыл бұрын
One of the runners here, just echoing what others have said, also worth noting that before the run I specifically requested that any Mothman or Heeho-related comments be read because of how beloved those demons are in the community and they are a great way to get people excited about raising money for charity.
