Brent is one of the kindest, most down to Earth guys, (not that I know him) it’s just what I get from listening to him for so many years. He definitely put Knoxville on the map. He looks SO much better (different) now that he lost weight, cut his hair and let it go back from black to his natural red. I did like his long hair though. Love him to death and Shinedown 💕

Seeing Shinedown for first time in Southampton changed my life and how I feel about myself as a misfit, no, an individual spirit in a world that can't accept me. I love the band and always look forward to hearing how they evolve. Brent's voice is incredible and I wish I'd followed my dream before I got sick.

I'm 100% positive I love shinedown! I was going through a bit of depression due to some tough life choices. I went to a class with psychics as the speakers. To learn more about our spirit guide's, and following our intuition. I know nothing about that. When I spoke to the psychic. I asked her if I had a spirit guide? If so what does it say about me? She replied your spirit guide said your music is your guide right now. She then said you should continue to listen to Shinedown! She even knew my favorite song. What she didn't know was I had been listening to them every night while remodeling a house I bought for my son. So I could leave him with a nice place when I leave to travel full time. She didn't even know my name at the time, she had no way of knowing my music taste. I too am a gypsy soul. Her talk inspired me and this interview did too.

Mr Smith you're my everything, in the sense of finding my kindred spirit. My kids are my life but you are a huge part of my everyday, no matter what mood I'm in, there's a SD song that clears my head or helps me focus on what I need to do.

My first love for r & r started with Aerosmith's Get your wings 8 track tape in 1979 when my mom had been driving a school bus for vocational school end of the school year so mom had allowed music for these high school students on the bus. Anyway, end of year this 8 track was left on the bus. Mom brought it home and I fell in love w it. Spaced and the entire album 8 track.

The last part of this video. Where Brent says he "talks for the people that are terrified to talk about that subject".. I hope I quoted that right, sorry if I did not Brent. I have to say, and I've mentioned this in Many comments. While I was on Kemo and living alone in an upper flat in Harrison Township MI. I could see the sun rise every morning because my window looked out onto Lake St. Clair. I say that time was a caregiver for my boss that owned the house I lived in. Now the meat market was closed due to we only cut deer and it was January the bottom floor was empty and I have already buried my Sister, my Mother, My Father , and 2 Daughters! I was a mess!! I was so sick that the stairs going up to my studio apartment was outside. I couldn't get the strength to de ice the stairs. Eventually I had to and this tells you who you friends are by the way. A foot of ice I chopped away at to get to the car of the lady I was taking care of. Also it just snowed and now there's 8 inches of snow in the parking lot. The store was behind the house I have to THANK #Shinedown and God because that's all I had! A picture of Jesus I tapped above the couch I slept on and The Crow and the Butterfly album/CD... 2008 this was. I Every night I got onto my knees and Prayed for others I also was giving to St Jude at that time but I needed to hear that album. Thee words/Lyrics gave me Hope and the strength to carry on. Because so many times I was ready to end it all. So. THANK YOU BRENT AND ALL YOU GUYS FROM SHINEDOWN. *YOU LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE!!* , 🙏✌️💯, Stevoo

Not just the fans that come to the shows, it's the fanart and comments from fans on social media. I first became a member of Shinedown Nation in 2009. I'm conflicted hearing this. I recently checked a live show of shinedown and noticed that the only song they play that was released before the sound of madness is simple man. Now I love that song and their version of it but that's it. No .45, no fly from the inside, no save me, no I dare u, no heroes... I don't get it. I listen to the new music and I enjoy that but where's the diversity? I believe when Brent was talking about a collection, he may as well have said "market research". I guess business is business but I found this band through the first two albums and if they are not being played live, I don't have cause to actively support them. Still a fan, just feeling a bit hung out to dry.
