Front row video I took of Shinedown performing “Monsters” at the ExtraMile Arena in Boise, Idaho. I own no rights to this song. All rights to this song belong to Shinedown.

Us old guys have seen some legendary Rock bands in concert that you can only dream about. Not knocking this, Shinedown keeps that Rock legacy alive with real singing and playing. The hip hop/rap guys are good at lip synching to the backing track from what I read.

Nice! You can’t any closer to the stage than that unless your name is Brent, Zach, Eric or Barry!

I always judge a band and song based on a live performance because if you can sing in a studio you should have no problem performing the same song love. My respect for Shinedown just went through the roof.

I’d think that was lipsynced if I didn’t respect the hell out of him as a singer. It was that good

To bad one of the members said they use backing tracks live
@tylerlansky1186 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, well I think this recording is actually him singing live, cause that high note sounds a bit flat to me, but with this audio quality I can’t tell for sure. But you are right, they do use backing track for vocals a lot. I couldn’t find a live version of Second Chance chorus where he actually sings those notes. He does the verse, and sings to a playback for the chorus there.

Yes they did back when the toured 2 years with barley any breaks. They don't use them now. He is singing every thing live all songs because they take breaks in between shows. Most shows he is right upfront when he is singing everyone can see he is definitely singing even Diamond Eyes. I never cared everyone knows he is a amazing singer and his voice is still great even after all the vocal issues he has had over the years.

Like them but he talks to much and goes on a 5 minute rant and that's enough time for a song just saying
@francinezgobica61732 жыл бұрын
Saw them in IL last week. He never went on any rants... just thanked his fans a lot which is pretty cool considering how big they are now.

If you listen to him talk he makes a lot of sense just saying

Or… it’s enough of a break for oh, I dunno… their badass drummer Barry so he can play a full 2 hour set. Get hydrated and catch his breath. Just saying. Go take a piss while Brent’s talking if ya don’t like it. Let the band take a break. Sheesh.
