Here's the facts people, yes a track is being played here. Another fact is this is 4 years ago, so a lot can change, and he has worked on his voice, and I would say is back to his prime. One more thing, they do a lot of acoustic shows now, because it is just easier on his voice. Mad respect for mad talent and drive to continue to be able to belt out songs like this.

Went to see Shinedown one year at Bayfest in Mobile, AL. I was so excited....but lead singer had lost voice. Hey it happens. I've always wanted to see them again. Hope to see them close to south Alabama again. Shinedown is such a great band. I want that next chance to see them live.

If you need confirmation that he's lip singing this, go listen to other performances live, and listen closely for the lyrics "She Waved". The recorded release doesn't say "She Waved" clearly. "She waved" isn't clear in this live performance and it matches the recording perfectly.

The vocals are recorded through the PA, and mixed, and then overlaid with new vocals where the notes aren´t "good enough". I don´t think it´s brent´s decision, but still, it´s true.

You obviously are not a muscian and can't hear that the vocal track on this is the EXACT SAME THING as the studio recording, it's called stemming. Also I bet many of you didn't notice the strings in the background, who is playing those? Its a computer, the harmonys are being lypsinc'd too. This performance is like 30% real.

I just want to point out that, while at one time Brent was an amazingly talented singer, he had worn out his vocal chords through lack of vocal training. He could've been so great too. If you listen to their older live videos, you'll hear him straining his voice terribly
