Sea of Hope is a reality TV show that Onew was a regular cast member on for several weeks during the summer. Sea of Hope is a program where a group of singers team up to run an outdoor beach bar, and because they are all outstanding singers, as part of the concept for the program, the also did live acoustic performances of songs as part of the entertainment at the bar. Some of the songs are songs they rehearsed together on the show and others are songs that were requested by customers or are just songs they decided to sing spur of the moment. (Onew and others, were also waiters and bartenders who would serve drinks and bring the audience food, which they cooked themselves on the show as well. As you may know, one of Onew's newfound hobbies has been cooking and baking, so the show also allowed him to show off some of his cooking skills, as well.) So fans were able to guess Sea of Hope by his drawing because they have been watching him on the show. If you haven't seen any clips from Sea of Hope, you should really check some of them out. Onew was meant for the show, and his collaborations with other artists and cast members on the show was masterful. (Sea of Hope has its own KZbin channel, and there are dozens of clips of Onew and others singing.) Batman's The Penguin was what Onew dressed up as for Halloween this year, and he won the best dressed award at SM's Halloween House Party. (He dressed as Colonel Sanders from Kentucky Fried Chicken (i.e. KFC man) for Halloween several years ago, the same year that Key dressed as Ronald McDonald from McDonald's.) They guessed SHINee World because it was a person holding SHINee's lightstick, which is what SHINee's fans look like. Yes, Onew's birthday is Dec. 14, hence why the party was Christmas themed. LOL

I don't think he underestimates on jinki strictly related here with "pure chaos" .. he used the word to amuse us not for underestimation ..you exaggerate! He knows very well what a good leader is Onew'SHINee..with this video,on the contrary, he appreciates him enormously, he would not waste his time to underestimate him ! He refers to his naturalness and funny way when he writes "pure chaos"

He's adorable, he did his best! More cutely awkward here than the laugh out loud funny you get with him on variety shows or playing off the other members. Sea of Hope was a program where they sang songs on the beach, there are beautiful covers from it, he did one with BP Rose and AKMU Suhyun that went pretty viral. The Penguin from Batman was his terrifying costume from the SM halloween party for which he won best dressed. Shawol is actually short for SHINee World, the name of the fans, so he drew someone waving a Shatting Star (name courtesy of Taemin of course). The cake really suits him because he loves camping and being out in nature. His comeback Dice is on the 11th! It seems like it's going to be a non-sad song too just like he wanted. It would be amazing if you could check out some more of Onew beforehand! Onew is the funniest in SHINee according to my bf 🤣 he's known for really bad puns and like dad jokes. And he's also super clumsy. I bet there's tons of compilations of him being hilarious 😂 He also wrote that song ❤

Way is such a powerfully emotive song. Onew wrote the lyrics and I recommend watching the mv so you can read them, they're beautiful. And yes, he makes it sound so effortless doesn't he? I watched his birthday party live. It was a lot of fun, however it finishes on a bit of a sad note. He sings a song for us, but he is upset and crys when he feels he did not sing it very well.

Jinki is just so adorable and awkward 🐰. 14 years as an idol and he still just trundles along in his own way. I love his cheesy humour/ Dad jokes that he laughs at himself..Although he's usually in the background he supports all of SHINee as a real leader. He really is just a precious person. I love Way and think it deserves a lot more attention than it's had.His voice is amazing as always and Punch blends so well with her vocal tones. The lyrics are really touching, so if you have time it's worth watching the MV (which has the English subs). Both Jinki and Minho's birthdays are in December Jinki's 14th and Minho is the 9th. And our Jjong is the 8th of this Month..Next Friday...it would be really cool if you could react to some of Jonghyun's music and clips that day..

If you haven't already, you should watch the animated official lyric video for "Way" that SM came out with before this live performance. (Which is one of the videos you see recommended at the end of this video.) Onew wrote the lyrics for this song and the lyrics make it even more beautiful. "One Star (Way)" is a pre-release single that Onew released especially for fans to tide us over until the release of his second solo album Dice which is finally set to be released April 11. His album was supposed to be released in September, but things were delayed. (Have you checked out the highlight clip of his title track "Dice" yet?) The song is about a couple who are longing to be reunited with each other. As the song goes along, the two realize their love is bound by fate. As the lyrics of the chorus say, “At a slightly different time / In the invisible world / One star in the same room / You and I have one name and one face.” Knowing that Onew wrote the lyrics for this song makes it that much more meaningful and emotional. I can really feel him putting his whole heart into this song and performance. This is such a perfect song for the holiday season. Full of the warm and fuzzy feelings for the holidays. I think this song is destined to become a new Kpop holiday classic. It's definitely on my holiday playlist, and it will be one I recommend anytime someone asks me for holiday song recommendations. The chills I get listening to this song seem to only grow everytime I hear it, I'm not sure I will ever become numb to the beauty of their voices and the feeling this song creates. This song really highlights what an amazing vocalists Onew is and it showcases how hard he has been working lately with his vocal training. He has always been an amazing singer -- after all he's a member of SHINee, one of the all time best vocal groups in the Kpop industry -- but this just shows how he is continuously pushing himself to become even better. Onew has said he has been focusing on his vocal training, experimenting with new ways of singing in order to showcase his full vocal range. He is now feeling more responsibility as one of SHINee's main vocalist to make sure he is able to maintain the same vocal quality that he is known for, as he ages. However, Onew is known in the industry as the male vocalist with the most consistent vocals. He has been one of SHINee's main vocalists since debut and he is recognized as one of the top vocalists in Kpop since even before debut. Onew was only one of two people ever personally cast by Lee SooMan, the founder of SM, and he was chosen at age 16 for his outstanding vocal ability. Onew's vocals are so good that as a rookie he was even a vocal coach and mentor to a lot of SM's trainees. Punch's and Onew's voices are perfect together, and I couldn't imagine a better pairing for this song. But truthfully, who doesn't sound amazing singing with Onew? He is one of the most coveted male vocalists in the industry that all singers dream of getting the chance to sing with. And if you seen him on programs such as Sea of Hope, you will see how he can be paired with almost anyone and somehow his voice is able to highlight the other singers' voices, and take the song to a whole new level, no matter their vocal style. He has such impressive vocal talent and understanding of how to use his voice that he has the ability to compliment the vocal timbre and style of anyone he is singing with.

Yay! Thanks for your reaction! Jinki did his birthday party after a longggg day of recording so he was actually really tired but I'm happy he rallied for us so we can celebrate his birthday with him (which was Dec 14). In the drawing game, the star was for "Way" which is also called "One Star" in Korean. The penguin man was referring to his Halloween costume from last year. I think the SHINee World one was a drawing of a person holding the lightstick and he drew an arrow to the person (SHINee fan). What a pleasant surprise to also have the reaction for Way! That song is so comforting. There's a cartoony lyric video for it as well with Eng subs. Jinki wrote the lyrics for it before he went into the military and he also picked Punch to be the one who sung it with him. So excited for Jinki's album to come out on the 11th and I'm looking forward to your reaction! Maybe next week we can keep the Jinki train going in prep for his comeback? I hope you can react to his live stage of "Sign" from SHINee Ringtone or maybe his recent OST called Mind Warning or any of his many OSTs from last year or years prior.
