To symbolize that Jonghyun will always be their center and that SHINee is always 5. Please Please look up the lyrics for SHINee's "Our Page." I feel like out of all kpop songs in existence this is one of the most important songs to know what the lyrics are about. Every word of the song was wrote by the members and it is all about their main vocalist Jonghyun who died. The song and lyrics are a tribute to him and the more than 10 years the members spent together as a group. The song is very powerful and full of meaning. Please take the time to watch an English lyric video of "Our Page" so you can better understand the deep meaning behind the song and MV. "Our Page" is epic because it should be epic. It was the song that made Shawols feel like it was finally OK to start to get back to a little bit of normal again. It was a moment of collective catharsis for everyone within the fandom and it showed us that the members were finally ready to get back to what they loved and they were more dedicated then ever to continue on as a group. I feel like you would have found the song even more profound and powerful if you had understood the meaning of it all and what the MV was actually showing you. I feel like you missed so much and have no idea what you just watched. After looking up the lyrics, please go back and rewatch this MV. It will become even more meaningful and "SHINee" to you once you understand what is happening and what each scene in the MV is showing you. In the MV, in the beginning you see each of the members struggling just to carry on with every day life. But because they have no other choice they all decide that the only way to honor Jonghyun's memory is to continue on. So you see Onew get back to composing songs (Jonghyun was the songwriter of the group so, this scene also is supposed to invoke memories of him as well), Taemin goes back to the gym (Jonghyun also spent a lot of time in the gym, so this was also Taemin's way of connecting with Jonghyun.) Minho is one of the top actors in Korea and when Jonghyun died he was on set filming for a drama, so we see Minho trying to get back to his normal routine and back to filming. And Key is one of the members, besides Taemin, that is known for his dancing, so you see him getting back to the dance studio and practicing his dance for his first solo debut album. (We didn't know that what we saw in this MV was a foreshadowing of his dance for his solo releases, but since then, now that Key's solo album and MVs have come out, we realize that this was the choreography for his solo MV.) Your right that beat is supposed to be the heartbeat of the group, the heartbeat of the fans, everything that kept the members moving forward and what brings them together as a group, etc. Every part of this song was done very purposefully and deliberately. The green/aqua blue light you see all around them is SHINee's fan color and it represents how Jonghyun is always all around them and how he is calling them back to the stage. The light washes over the members representing how the fans' love, support and solidarity within the fandom gives the members the strength to carry on and to continue as a group. At one point you see each of the members standing still in a room while the world around them continues on. This represents how their world came to a standstill when Jonghyun died and how for a while it felt like their world stopped while everyone else continued on around them. As they climb the stairs to the stage you see the lights come on one by one, I like to think that was each of the fans sending their support to encourage them to keep moving forward. And then once on stage you see the members all standing on stage with the one empty mic stand in the center that represents Jonghyun. In SHINee's fan meeting for their 10th anniversary the members all vowed that SHINee will always be 5 and that Jonghyun will always be involved in everything they do. And during the fan meeting when they performed the choreo for some of their most iconic songs they intentionally left Jonghyun's spot open and only filled in for him when something just wouldn't work without someone in that position. And often at their concerts during moments where Jonghyun's presents is missed the most, you see them leave an empty mic stand in the center or an open space where Jonghyun would have been, etc. He will never be forgotten and SHINee will always be OT5 forever and ever. :D

SHINee 5 forever. The lyrics and the lone 5th mic always brings tears to my eyes. Yes, SHINee has amazing vocals. They lost their lead vocalist but they still hold their own as one of the best vocal Kpop groups out there. You should also react to their Countless and an older Japanese ballad either Diamond Sky or From Now On their 2018 concert in Japan - the first concert just a few months after Jonghyun’s death.
