Sherlock is a Hyrbrid song remix on Sherlock Album. Clue and Note are both tracks on the album. Basically they took parts from both tracks without redoing anything and came up with 3 min. Track. Sherlock also acknowledge by Rolling Stone as one of the "Greatest Boy Band Songs of all time" in 2015. And re-entered again on 2020 and took spot #14 on Rolling stone. What a great masterpiece. And did you know Sherlocks Choreography was the most expensive choreos by SM Ent. Since it was choreographed by non other than Tony Testa (Micheal Jackson's Choreographer).

So your 1st SHINee live performance.. how was it? 😁 I love this format - mv+live performance. For the next one I believe would be Dream Girl, Why So Serious and Everybody. For the live versions i recommend the following: - Why So Serious from SHINee World 5 - Everybody from Tokyo Dome Also there are a lot of SHINee b-sides that don't have mv but have iconic live performances such as Excuse Me Miss, Evil (SWC3) and Stranger (SWC4). I'm excited for you to check them out as well.😊

That's SHINee for you, pure greatness. And pretty much no one will argue with you on that fact. LOL :D "Sherlock" is a special song that combines 2 songs from SHINee's album "Clue" and "Note." That's why the title of this MV is "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" If you were to listen to the album you would see that they are two separate songs, but when combined they become "Sherlock." So, the beat changes up because you are hearing the mashup of the two songs. (Just like with SuperM's new song "One (Monster & Infinity)") In the MV the boys are Sherlock-like detectives who are looking for clues in the spooky mansion. And yes, the "ghost" girl -- who is played by Jessica Jung, the former member of Girls Generation -- is helping SHINee solve a mystery by leaving them clues. At the end they realize that the girl they have been seeing and chasing after all day is actually the girl that was originally involved in the mystery when they find an article talking about her from 1910 and they discover that they must have been seeing a ghost. Fun fact: As you noticed, the brand name on the computer was iWatson. Like Sherlock Holmes' sidekick Watson. The computer helped SHINee solve the mystery. Nothing you hear from SHINee will ever be like anything you have ever seen or heard before. With EVERY new song release, SHINee are expected to come out with a style and sound that is brand new, not only for them, but in the industry as a whole. SHINee are constantly reinventing their style and sound with every one of their songs. SHINee are one of the most iconic and influential groups. They are always setting trends, never following them. SHINee where designed to be SM's experimental boy group, so everything they do is meant to be the first and they are expected to set the trend. With every new song SHINee produces it's expected to be different than the last, so you will never hear the same style or sound from them in any of their songs, even on the same album, and yet, somehow it will always sound like SHINee. And, yes, this was the era of Taemin with long hair. Although, in the MV, Taemin's really long hair was a wig. If you notice he only has long straight hair during the dance breaks, but during the story sections his hair is much shorter and kind of curly. However, he really did grow his hair long for a while. Taemin with long hair is one of his most iconic looks. I didn't really like Taemin's wig look, but Taemin with naturally long hair is one of my favorites. (He is actually known for making girls jealous because his hair is so perfect.) Many people thing that Taemin with long hair made him look pretty like a girl, but I actually thing it's kind of a masculine look on him. "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" came out in 2012 -- 4 years after "Reply." So Taemin is now 17 in this MV. Taemin's hairstyle also made him one of the most popular of the members with their Japanese fans. This was the era of when SHINee really started to solidify themselves as Japanese artists, so Taemin's look had Japanese fans gravitating to them. (SHINee debuted in Japan in 2011 and now they are considered one of the most popular artists in Japan. They are so popular that they are part of the mainstream music scene and most Japanese citizens don't even consider them foreign artists. They spend about 50% of their career in Japan, so they are fluent in Japanese and they have just as many Japanese albums and songs as they do Korean.They don't just remake Japanese versions of their Korean songs, but they produce songs exclusively for their Japanese albums as well.) The choreography for "Sherlock" was created by Tony Testa a very well-known "Hollywood"-famous American choreographer who has also worked with some of the most famous artists, productions and dancers in the world, including Michael Jackson. "Sherlock" was the first time SM (or pretty much anyone in the Kpop industry) had ever used a famous choreographer, and at the time, it was the most expensive Kpop production ever. Once again, SHINee were trendsetters and because of SHINee's skill level, SM became the first to see the value in using a well-known choreographer to help create their dances and to strive for a level of choreography and video production that surpassed anything that had ever been done before. Today it's common place for Kpop companies to have really famous in-house choreographers, and to seek out people in the industry who are really making a name for themselves to choreograph for them, but SHINee was one of the first. If you think their live performance of "Sherlock" was insane, just wait until you see the full concert. They perform like this for 3 hours straight and they never take more than a 5 minute break in between sets to change their clothes and get ready for the next set. If you watched this full set you would see that right after this they immediately follow this song up with their song "Shine" and then their Iconic performance of "Stranger" and then "Picasso." They don't even have a chance to catch their breath, and yet, right after that, when they interact with the audience, they don't even look or sound like the performance has even started. (You should take the time to watch the full concert DVD sometime, to really understand just how magnificent they are as performers. It's even more mind blowing when you see how unbelievable they are throughout a whole concert. I guarantee you have never experienced anything quite like a SHINee concert before. :D) SHINee's concert performances will always be different because they never perform a song exactly the same way twice. That's what makes SHINee special. You can watch them perform the same song hundreds of times and it always feels like a brand new performance. I also just recently found where someone has reuploaded the whole concert DVD of SHINee World Concert IV in Seoul -- the whole 3+ hours -- and it even has English subs for all the parts where they interact with the audience, right in the video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIXOn4KCmtiImZY It really feels like you are right there at this concert. If you haven't already, you should watch this whole concert, even if you can't react to the full thing -- watch it on your own sometime. :D You really can't fully grasp just how magnificent of performers SHINee are until you watch a full concert from beginning to end and see what makes a SHINee concert so unique.

This live was yeah different from the Sherlock in the MV. Though still SHERLOCK per se.. they usually rearrange songs during concerts. That is why no performance is the same during their concerts even if the same song. Sherlock is a combination of 2 other songs in their album , CLUE and NOTE. So for the concert, they arranged the same 2 songs to form Sherlock but differently.

The one that they performed in SHINee World Concert IV was Both CLUE and NOTE thats why you think you missed something hehe... Those songs have same structure and melodic pattern but differ on adlibs and lyrics :)
