Key wrote the lyrics for You and I. TSOL is one my favorite albums. With so much pressure and a lot to prove, they produced this amazing album and I was so very proud of them.

I love "You & I", Key wrote the lyrics and I think that not only is it written for Jonghyun but it was also a response to what some people said about them. That SHINee was using what happened to Jonghyun as a way to get more money/attention. So Key wrote this to say that "no, we are not making it up. We are genuinely hurt and we just want to send him off peacefully". At least that's what I think. Anyways, love the reactions! Can't wait to see your reaction to Ep. 2 😊

This whole entire album is amazing, but, 'You & I' (or 안녕, literally 'annyeong/goodbye' 💔) is such an important song for me. It's been my spotify most played song for 2 years straight lol. Key wrote the lyrics, and, as an og locket it just hits so hard. I really feel like this song came from a deep part of him. It's so heartfelt, and raw, and beautiful. They performed a short snippet of it on Yoo Heeyeol's Sketchbook ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6vdfqCNgsuDo7M ) and it's so beautiful. The other EP's are really so good, and I'm looking forward to your thoughts, even though I kinda can't believe we're here already! Take care, Caitlyn! xx

A lot of people misinterpret You & I as a song that Key wrote for Jonghyun, but he actually wrote this in summer 2017! I hope this gets cleared up and more people aren't misled to believe this!

You & I is so lovely and beautiful and devastating.. Key wrote the lyrics and many fans speculate that it’s an ode to jjong.. and well, it fits doesn’t it? Every lyric. I love the line talking about the stars the most “I have one star in me that shines painfully, that I know will hurt more if I touch and prod, but I don’t want it to go out, so I hold it anyway” and it must have hurt more than anything, to talk about him so soon after, in front of the entire world, to proceed with the album and promotion, to proceed with a concert and dedicate so much of it to him, but they did it anyway, because they wanted him to continue to live on and shine brightly in everyone’s heart, in every fan, in every song, in every memory

Key wrote the lyrics for "You and I" and if it was written for Jonghyun I don't know, but for me, it makes so much sense if it was, because it is not an ordinary goodbye. I mean, I read the lyrics and I can see the connection between Key/them and Jonghyun... it's even sadder!

I’m so happy your reacting to this album series all the albums are so good and I am glad that you are liking the album and I can’t wait for pt2 and pt3 to come out when you react to those and I do want to tell you that key wrote you&I and you can just feel his emotions along with the members through the song and through the lyrics a lot of shawols including myself have kinda interpreted it about how they felt going through the passing of jonghyun and how it had made them feel around that time and that’s why it’s pretty emotional for me and including to some of the fans in the fandom but your interpretation was actually really good and that’s all I have to say and sorry for commenting so long I enjoyed the reaction 💕

Thanks for the reaction Caitlyn. All three Story of Light EPs are so good. The boys did such a good job. This was there journey of healing. Even tho some songs are sad but they are necessary as part of healing. However overall songs are bright and hopeful. Btw Key wrote the lyrics to You and & I. It's a beautiful song ❤💙

Actually, Kibum wrote You & I before 2017, in an interview he said the first draft of the song was in 2016 & re-wrote some parts in the summer of 2017. about something he has been through, he said "It's different from other breakup songs. It talks about letting out all your sadness, and sometimes blame the other person)." kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5S3nGanZ52Wf6s in a vlive at that time he also confirms that the lyrics were written before you know what, I'm pretty sure he knows that some thought that it was about Jonghyun & he wanted to clarify He however has a song in his solo album that was written early 2018 that pretty much about his feelings at that time and an ode to Jonghyun. he cried while singing that song at his solo concert before it's called "I will fight" Jinki also has a song in his album that staff member hinted it's about Jonghyun, it's called "shine on you", though many mistakes other songs in jinki's album to be about Jonghyun but blue & most of Jinki album were written late 2016, early 2017, only shine on you, illusion & sign were written in 2018

I honestly love the tsol series, its not always easy to listen to it but its such a good album, they really poured their hearts into it, kibum's lyrics in you & I (that many have interpreted to be about jjong) are so beautiful, if i remember well the songs from here that have performances are you & I and all day all night, both so good. btw tell me what to do is from "1 and 1", the mvs that go with tsol are: good evening in ep 1, i want you in ep 2 and our page and countless in ep 3

Personally for me this story of Light was the best... not to say that I didn't like chapter 2 and 3, but it ranked a little higher for me. The edm, vocal layering, vocal effects, and solo highlights in the songs in the first 2 songs and then the chill cruising vine on Jump. The suggestice lyrics like All Day All Night is ol. To the beautiful vocals in You and I with Jinki at the end ugh... it's just elevates this album for me

It's late, but I most point out, that sometimes the meaning of some lyrics in korean, tends to change when it's translated to english. With All Day All Night, in korean, the lyrics are more romantic, but in english it take a double meaning. It happens with other artists, like Red Velvet with their song Milkshake lol

unfortunately it happens a lot in terms on translating... a lot of the intended meaning or feeling is lost when we translate lol. i have learned that the hard way with a few NCT song 😅

This is only my second or third time listening in full to this album. I did listen to it when it first came out, but it was too emotionally intense the first time around. Since then, I have grown to appreciate this album and the series of albums this comes with so much more.
