Jonghyun has my fave discography I love that he has R&B, Jazz, Funk etc just and awesome mix. He definitely stepped away from the kpop image and came across more as a K-artist that fits in with the likes of Zion T, Crush, Dean etc. Very artistic

Crazy is such a groove! There aren't a whole lot of solo Jong videos so I hope you can also listen to some of his solo lyric videos. Jonghyun has been described by SM professionals as someone "born to make music." On his solo albums, about 95% of the songs are written by Jonghyun. Wonderful songwriting, powerful and distinctive vocals, not to mention his beautiful face and rock star charisma - he was such a talent. SHINee's main singer and occasional songwriter (check out the super-sexy Odd Eye stage performances), songwriter for other idols like IU, multiple solo albums. And he was a great DJ, warm, effusive and very politically and socially progressive. Jonghyun even wrote a novel (Skeleton Flower). All by the age of 27. I personally like Story Op.1 and Story Op. 2 - both albums are just packed with great music, no visuals required. And Orgel - a song Jonghyun wrote for SHINee - is such a weird, freaky masterpiece - like MTTM, perfect for Halloween.

Yessss, so excited to see the start of Solo-nee era! They're all amazing solo artists with incredible discographies. You might already know this but in case you don't - all of SHINee (minus Minho bc he hasn't put out an official solo album yet) connected their debut solos through their album titles. Taemin came first with his debut album, "ACE" which Jonghyun followed with his own debut album, "BASE." The titles rhymed and the album cover art was conceptually identical. There's a funny video of Taemin jokingly accusing Jjong of plagiarism, to which Jonghyun immediately admits to 😂 Key and Onew followed the trend too when they released their debut solo albums, naming them "FACE" and "VOICE" respectively, also following the cover art style. Jonghyun said once that they copy each other like this because they don't want to let go of each other even when they're on their own; and Taemin, Onew, and Key have all echoed that sentiment individually, saying that they have this tradition because even as soloists, they'll always be connected as SHINee. Some cute trivia about this is that 1) Jonghyun got his BASE album logo tattooed on his wrist and 2) Jonghyun and Taemin had matching in-ear monitors engraved with the logos for BASE and ACE respectively

Jonghyun is the king of Adlibs it’s so evident in all SHINee songs as well as his Solo works, in Crazy (Guilty Pleasure) although there is a rapper, Jonghyun still throwing up the adlibs like don’t mind me kind of attitude. But boy it gave the song more depths and more fun side, I love it so much.

If you think Jonghyun's vocals were good in the MV for "Crazy (Guilty Pleasure)," just wait until you hear him perform it live. Just like all the members of SHINee, his live performances are on a whole other level, and he even covers the rap parts himself. Because SM originally wanted to make SHINee a hip-hop group, all the members were trained in rap. So all the members are actually pretty good rappers. They are all so multi-talented that any one of them can cover the rap sections in their songs. And when a featured artist is unable to participate in any performance they just cover the whole song themselves. Like all of Jonghyun's solo songs, "Crazy (Guilty Pleasure)" was also wrote and composed by him, so the whole vibe of this song was designed by him. And that is why he was so highly respected as a singer/songwriter and why he was one of the first and very few Idols to really be considered a true songwriter and composer. He was a genius when it came to making music and he chose very carefully which songs he wanted to release himself and what kind of message he wanted to give. He never released music just because he thought it would be a hit, but everything he did was meticulously planned and designed by him to make an impact regardless of whether it would be a hit from the the moment it was released. All his music had a deeper message. He was a true artist in all aspects of the music industry. You did well Jonghyun, our angel and diamond in the sky.

@@elea45hinee57 unfortunately i did not include those things solely bc we didn't have enough time in the month and i had to cut myself somewhere lol so i didn't include any osts or any of the sm collab project things. i left a comment on the month's details in the previous video but i'll leave it here too so more can see: every korean & japanese shinee song with an mv is in this month, as well as every korean & japanese solo song with an mv. i also included toheart and superm as a bonus since those include shinee members, and had to cut myself off there bc there just wasn't enough space in the month LOL especially since he is (finally) visiting family this week for the first time since before covid. what i just listed alone is 74 videos. the extras like that will be something to come back to later for sure. around the same time he tackles some lives maybe!!!

FINALLY!!!!! Said in Jungkook's voice. I love Shinee, but I don't think anyone could ever be ready for the artistry that is Taemin. I don't think anyone can help you when it comes to bias choices once you start to explore Taemin's solo work, especially for someone with a dance background. He is not called the idol of idols for nothing. He is beauty, he is grace, he is EVERYTHING!!! If you will be exploring his Japanese videos please be careful as many reactors have had them blocked. "Danger" is Taemin's first single off his solo debut album Ace from 2014, so this was Taemin when he was 21 years old. (He is currently 28, and he was only 14 when he debuted with SHINee in 2008.) Taemin is just as popular as a solo artist, as he is a member of SHINee. As you have discovered, this is why Taemin is easily considered the BEST dancer in Kpop. You need to see him perform "Danger" at one of SHINee's Japanese concerts.
