How can a song be simultaneously haunting, alluring, vulnerable, badass, sexy, hopeful, and utterly depressing? Pulling off that paradox is baffling to me.

It's because humans have so many conflicting emotions the majority of the time. If something is horrid, we search for a shred of light to get us through. Even when we have overwhelming joy, the human being in us knows it's fleeting and won't last, as much as we try to shut those thoughts down. This track captures everything at once.

This is still one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. 9 years have passed and I still die inside every time I hear it. Melancholy, poetry, overwhelming sensuality still affect the heart. Seeing the world through these notes takes your breath away and as you listen, the feeling is always the same, that of making love between tears and sighs. God ..... this song is magnificent ...

It is associated with southern vintage interiors and european art for me too... For some reason it makes me feel like an old italian man who is telling the story of his life, of his passion that lives even in the old age... Except I am not old and italian lol. The entire song is glorious but starting at 3:38 up until the ending just takes me to another world, where everything I want in life manifests and feels real. It gives my imagination such hypnotizing quality. I feel excitingly lost and the struggle to be found becomes almost laughable because the place in which I'm lost seems the most honest and desirable place I've ever been. It seems there, I have found my true self and I'm willing to grab hands with anyone else who is there because I know we are both searching for peace and dark sensuality. This song will forever be haunting and unforgettable in the most gorgeous way.

One year on Halloween I was driving through the Dengie Hundred in Essex, through Burnham on Crouch and the sparse haunting landscapes, creeks and waterworld of that strange little area. Fun fact: the woman she sings is actually Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star, known for the song "Fade Into You" and their second album "So Tonight That I Might See".

+Esta Fortaleza its really weird time signature, maybe like 5/4 or something? that's going to make the timing hard. its also not a "classical" piece-the music does not have symmetry. that will also make timing really tricky. keep trying!
