The book Zeke reading is "not 1st volume", Volume in Asia (what I know is Chinese and Japanese) use to call it Volume "UP"(上巻) and Volume "Down"(下巻), but this kind of way to present the book volume cannot tell if there is a Volume "MIDDLE"(中巻), so the "torture" Levi is giving here is because Zeke ask for a volume "DOWN" but have no clue there is a MIDDLE volume, so he gave a book that Zeke "cannot read" because it's not the right order to read.
