Traditional turn-based RPG battle systems are generally more accessible and less stressful/challenging than turn-based strategy RPGs. It usually depends on your current mood and experience with the genres, but as an adult who can only play games in short spurts nowadays, I generally prefer the former (bonus points if it allows me to save wherever and whenever I want).
