In Kyoraku case translation was slightly wrong because in Japanese Ukitake said that it's too risky for Shunsui to use his bankai when there are so many allies around him. You'll know why in future and i hope anime will deliver on it because in manga his bankai was absolutely glorious

One thing you have to note down is that its not the gotei that has beef with the visords, its centre 46. It gets a lot better explained in the novels, i wont spoil anything major important but they sometimes operate out of fear for not only themselves but also the 4 major clans. also about the powerscaling, the espada are kind of all over the place because they're ranked by their spiritual pressure quantity, so starrk's reiatsu for example eclipses aaronierro's (no. 9), but that doesn't mean a higher ranked espada is stronger in combat than one ranked lower. Best example is Grimmjow dispatching Luppi effortlessly despite them both being the same rank, the reason is Luppi's reiatsu is higher than no. 7 but lower than Nnoitra, so is Grimmjow, but Grimmjow is way stronger in actual combat than Luppi. Not to say Grimmjow could beat Nnoitra (it's been a debate in the fandom for years) but he did hold his own somewhat vs Ulquiorra and even tanked a Cero from him.

The thing about some bankai, like Shunsui's or Shinji's, is that they can be incredibly dangerous. I will not spoil anything about them or what they do. But just know that some Bankai are not as easy to control and some will even entrap allies in their effects, whether they like it or not. It could end up with just as many dead alies as there would be slain foe's. Or depending, worse.

There's a reason why Wonderweiss is so powerful, which you'll see for yourself Also when Wonderweiss did his screaming thing, he did also free Harribel and Barragan from the effects of their enemies' attacks, but his screaming was also a signal that Aizen was tired of waiting, while also telling them that they needed to get their shit together

Many Bankais are dangerous to everyone (Some are even dangerous to the user I believe). It makes sense that Shinji doesn't have any bad blood with Yama, after all it wasn't Yama that tried to kill them when they turned into Hollows, that was all Central 46 and they're all dead now, so that problem resolved itself for the most part. Barragan can absolutely go around those barriers, but he's the type that believes he's too good for that, he'll go through the barrier and then he'll go through you, but I did laugh the first time I saw that lol.

I agree, Ichigo could 1v1 most Captains in the soul society. And he straight up ran their shit back in the 1st arc saving Rukia, admittedly having been healed between fights and having a small training arc to obtain bankai. But he's basically a rookie that off rip had immense spiritual power but no idea how to control it. Once Ichigo got bankai he easily doubled his ability to fade enemies. But for story purposes we rarely get to see that because every fight needs a back and forth with dialogue mixed in to make it dramatic.

We already saw in a flashback that Komamura joined the Gotei 13 while Tōsen was still in the 5th Division, i.e. before the Pendulum Arc. I could buy Shinji seeing him for the first time unmasked, or forgetting a masked low-ranking Shinigami (even though a masked man taller than Robert Wadlow should be rather conspicuous), but like hell Komamura would've forgotten Tōsen's captain.

But captains are quite famous, even Ganju recognized Byakuya without having been to Seireitei before (though he was very famous even for a captain), and so far low-ranking Shinigami have always recognized captains from other division's, never asking "Who are you?". Their uniforms also make them easily identifiable even without introductions. And they served together for over 9 years, so it would be quite strange for them to not have had any chance encounters during that time, and even stranger for Tōsen to have never ever said a word about his captain (even though he changed divisions during that time). And you'd think the simultaneous loss of 6 captains, 3 lieutenants and the Kidō Corps vice chief would be a memorable event to Shinigami of any rank. Especially if your friend's captain was among the losses, and likely your own. But it's been 101 years, maybe they just forgot. Or Kubo did. Wouldn't be the first time. Phew, didn't mean to go to TL;DR territory, yet here we are. Sorry 'bout that.
