The first Dino Crisis is Resident Evil with dinosaurs. If they have room for rebooting RE games, they have room for rebooting Dino Crisis... which fans have CLEARLY indicated they want more of. Saying Monster Hunter takes care of what can be done with dinos is ignoring that the premise and genre of the two games is completely different.

Shinji Mikami was not involved with the recent Resident Evil Remakes. I do not really think Capcom would need his creative input to do a remake or re-imagining of Dino Crisis. The blueprint is there already after all.

Better atmosphere, more heart and soul, better vibe, better music, better story delivery despite the cheese(it added charm), more iconic, better gameplay design despite being more restrained, etc. The only thing the remakes did better was obviously better graphics and tech. Other than that, the originals nailed the parts that matter better. People that say the remakes are “better” don’t understand what matters in a great game. They judge it by superficial things like “better controls and camera” instead of the things that truly make a game memorable. The reason you can’t see it is because you’re shallow so you value shallow things obviously since you prefer the remakes. The only remake that was truly a masterpiece was the RE1 Remake and that’s because Mikami directed it. The man is a genius and understands WHAT MATTERS in a game to make it a masterpiece. It’s why he’s changed the genre more than once! That remake was the only RE remake that evolved the original game while PERFECTLY retaining what made the original so special. It takes a keen understanding to nail that sweet spot so perfectly which he absolutely did.

I've never played Dino Crisis. I, for some reason, never even knew what it was forever. I've been a life-long RE fan and seeing how much the RE community loves DC I would love to see remakes for them and get the chance to play them. I'm even excited for the short film being made after watching The Keeper's Diary. If they ever do Dino Crisis again, I'm here for it this time around.

Ah well, I'm glad I have the original PS1 Dino Crisis and while I'm a fan of the Resident Evil series, I've been disappointed with some of the endings, character (non) development and other issues. It's a shame that I'll never play the 'newer' games (I can't use the joysticks for movement, as my hands would spasm) but yet, with tank controls, I have no problem playing RE2, RE3, Silent Hill or Dino Crisis (all original PS1 versions) 🤷

Capcom Needs to step up. They brought in Monster Hunter so many times, Resident evil so many times. We're getting dead rising 1 remastered which they'll probably do a dead rising 2 remaster. Dino Crisis needs to come back I have a ps3 that plays Dino crisis but that system will not last forever and I'm not buying playstation plus premium just to cloud play it on my PS4. That's why I had the Playstation One emulator so O can have it on pc and play it. Sure I could get a pc cd rpm version of it but those games are like a fortune to by now since they're classics. I'd say GOG should do the same thing like the Resident evil Trilogy. Bring in all the Dino crisis games to gog.

I highly doubt is ever going to happen because Dino Crisis fan base is way smaller than RE and the game is also very short it doesn't have the replay value of say RE2 with it's A and B scenarios or RE3 with the choices you have to make. Sure you have choices in Dino Crisis with Rick and Gail paths but they're like 3 in the whole game? So idk. I want Capcom to do it but I really don't think so. I mean they choose to remake Dead Rising first instead of Code Veronica, if they don't have faith in a RE game Dino Crisis pretty much is non existent in their radar.

Honestly I wish Mikami would just remake ALL the RE2-4 games HIMSELF. The remakes were far worse than the originals with the exception of the RE1 Remake which he directed. The remakes need his leadership and vision. Him leaving Capcom is almost as bad as Kojima leaving Konami.. Capcom makes competent games but they’re no where near the quality or excitement of the originals when they released which Mikami had some part in. Mikami directed RE1, RE1 Remake and RE4 which were pinnacle games that changed games in many ways! If he brought his genius to these remakes, they would obliterate the remakes we got instead.. It’s too bad it’ll never happen in this lifetime since the remakes are already completed and Mikami is clearly done with Resident Evil. It’s a TRUE shame.
