It amazes me with the Rebuild they recreated so many frames of the original 1995 anime version and just redrew a lot of it

That’s awesome. The movie and visuals look absolutely incredible. That doesn’t come across as much in the reactions since we have to lower the opacity, but it looks great

Yes! KZbin keeps blocking them which is one of the reasons they haven’t been uploaded as quickly

Dub-wise, I will say this much, the Amazon redubs for Rebuilds 1-3 were very rushed, and faced, more or less, the same scripting limitations the Netflix dub had. Overall, Amazon's redubs are alright, but it's a shame you couldn't hear the same principal cast do much better work in Funimation's version of Rebuild series (especially 2.0). That said, glad you're enjoying it all the same, even if you miss the Netflix cast.

I think I tracked it down at one point but once these came out, we just decided to go with these. I honestly thought they were the same ones Funimation did. I thought they only dubbed the ones that hadn't been dubbed. That sucks. This cast is really good (obviously) but I think me personally, between editing and watching the series 3 years ago on Netflix, they're just in my head haha.

@@KeepItFiveStar Yeah, initially, the cast were only set to dub the fourth film, they got called back in later to do redo 1-3 since Amazon either couldn't get the rights to Funi's dub, or were told/decided to redo those movies again, for whatever reason. The production was a bit tight, and a few issues sprung up from recording this remotely (at one point, they lost touch with Misato and Gendo's VA's for nearly a week due a really bad snowstorm in Texas).
