The dialogue in the early seasons of this show is just top notch. That Cersei and Robert scene is top notch, there's some comedy, great expostion and worldbuilding and that banger of a line "someone took her away from me and seven kingdoms couldn't fill the hole she left".

The Arryns kept the only dungeon in the realm where the prisoners were welcome to escape at will. That first day, after girding up his courage for hours, Tyrion had lain flat on his stomach and squirmed to the edge, to poke out his head and look down. Sky was six hundred feet below, with nothing between but empty air. If he craned his neck out as far as it could go, he could see other cells to his right and left and above him. He was a bee in a stone honeycomb, and someone had torn off his wings. It was cold in the cell, the wind screamed night and day, and worst of all, the floor sloped. Ever so slightly, yet it was enough. He was afraid to close his eyes, afraid that he might roll over in his sleep and wake in sudden terror as he went sliding off the edge. Small wonder the sky cells drove men mad.

Now you've met Bronn, you should look into Jerome Flynn who plays him. He was huge in the UK in the 90s. First in a show called 'Soldier Soldier, which (in case you couldn;t guess) was about the lives of a group of British soldiers in the contemporary Army. It was a sort of drama with some soapy elements. Then he and his Co-star formed a duo and had a pop career as 'Robson and Jerome' and had 3 number one hits. There's some really...special...content to be had there.
@FredtheFrisian2 сағат бұрын
The confusion is very recognizable! We don't have all the information yet. That the Lannisters were behind the murder of John Arryn was just a statement by Catelyns sister, Lysa and she seems to be not very trustworthy, because she accused Tyrion of murdering him.

It is great to hear all the theories at the end and trying to make sense of it, especially with how the show panders to specific theories with almost planting certain biases in viewers heads, deliberately telling viewers "hey, look here, focus on this thing, nothing to see over there where you want to look". Expecting to piece it together within s1, or even in a couple of episodes, is kind of sweet summer child train of thought, for sure. Looking forward to the rest of s1 reactions.

Legitimization isn’t done on any common basis, but it is a thing. Bastards can be declared legitimate by royal decree, which would bring them legally recognized status, and entitlement to any claim that would normally come with being trueborn. Without that, however, it would take some extremely extraordinary circumstances for them to be anywhere above the bottom of the heap (last in line, if even considered in line at all), as far as claims (such as to the throne) go.

@@LudusAurea My comment is vague so as to not spoil the fun of them trying to understand what's happening while still giving them a nudge in the right direction. If it doesn't make sense to you, don't worry. It's not meant for you. They are missing the original experience of coming in to work the Monday after an episode released and everyone is buzzing with anticipation and theories for what's happening. They can't talk about it with almost anyone without risking spoilers. I hope Arianna sees this comment because she needs to let Maple know who hired the assassin to kill Bran because unfortunately, they never make that clear in the show. But it makes a lot more sense why Tyrion becomes implicated once you understand who was behind it. I won't say who as to not spoil anything, but this was one of the few mysteries that was never fully revealed in the adaptation which makes it confusing for first time watchers.
