This and the counterfeit spirits event and her dialogue throughout the game shows that she just wants to be whole. She wants to have meaning besides being an embodiment of hate; but, can’t help it because of how she was born. I guess in end, the only person who could supplement all that hate is her master.

Watched it a few times now and I only have one thing I wanna say. (attempting to use read more to hide spoilers) . . . . ↓ The effects are pretty amazing even after seeing them multiple times. I loved Salter's Mana Burst being so intimidating and literally forcing her color scheme on everything. Then they do NPs. and it just gets cooler with how she stares down Jalter's attack. Picks up her sword, and proceeds to launch her NP in the coolest way I've seen in a while. And that's not to sell Nightingale's NP short either! I love how serene her part of the scene is. I think just due to the angle provided, it comes off a lot more intimidating than FGO can make it out to be. Well done effects and smart camera work.

You just might have a point. From a meta perspective, Alters are usually created to explore the flaws and contradictions inherent in the ideals of servants, and those flaws and contradictions are often what turns those ideals from inspiring to legitimately interesting. In the case of Jalter, Jeanne really wouldn't be very interesting without her; she'd be just another paragon. But with Jalters presence, all of that changes. Jalter is the idea a Jeanne filtered through the comprehension of a "mere human"(Gilles), and as such serves to highlight just how inhuman the White Saint actually is. Likewise, Jalter probably wouldn't be as interesting without Jeanne; She'd still be an emotional trainwreck bent on the destruction of all she once held dear, sure, but if Jalter was the only version of Jeanne that we got...? Then she'd "just" be a servant who went craycray by betrayal. Cool in its own right, sure, but it wouldn't have anywhere near the depth as the two servants have together. In short, they need each other to reach their full potential.. But with that said, Jalter is the more active and emotional of the two, which(at least in my mind) makes her the most fun to be around on a moment to moment basis.

Only this time by emphasizing her inhumanity by way of innocence(I.E. utterly failing at human emotion and missing the point of christmas), rather than showcasing how a "human" would react to the things Jeanne went through. Which makes it a bit weird that they used Jalter as the basis for her, but I guess it just made for way too good of a joke to pass up :p

Right until you compare Cu and Emiya with THEIR Alters. Their normal appearances don't have the same "perfection" that Artoria and Jeanne have, so the whole "dark reflection" is less interesting, because they're ALREADY flawed and complex characters.

I think the dialogue between salter and jalter was interesting to see how different their views are even though both are alters. The art, editing, and voice acting were all top notch. The clear disinterest in Salters voice gives me the chills. There is one thing that I thought could have been one slightly better. When salter unleashed her power I knew it happened by the sound but visually I found it hard to see what was happening. Though that might just me.

I never comment on videos, because English is not my native language, but I guess this is an exception. I came back for your later stream because I started listening to you in there and notice that this video didnt do well in terms of views, and you liked to know why for your subscribers. I cant talk about other people, but I am subscribed to your channel for some videos, but others I just dont care very much, because this type of content is not something I consume, for example, I love your videos about servants, or about certain mechanics in the game, it is just the type of things I want in a FGO video, and I will always click and watch when one arrives. But for this type of video... I just like this things to be short and to the point, like Sippy VA videos, so I just tried the first ones you do, and even I know they need so much work in the making, I cant like it when they go for 3 or more minutes, for "joke" or serious content about characters, I prefer a comic, or even only writing, but in a video... Not a fan. I came from the stream and I have to say the first time I saw this I had the impression that this is just a skit, but the rewatch after finishing (almost) Shinjuku and thinking a little it seems that the topic is too deep to be entertaining don't get me wrong entertainment is very complicated it sometimes is all about fun and at others it's the thought it provokes which keeps us entertained. This is the thought provoking stuff but rarely do people who are here to have fun think so much and thus this message doesn't go though to them making it less effective.

Hello Voice of Saint Quartz, I was watch your 66th stream and heard this video wasn't didn't do good and form someone who didn't like all too much, but is still had great quality and since you asked for input and critiques so here are my critiques. 1. The premise of the video. The title is called "Prelude to Shinjuku" while it only having Salter and Jalter, abd the video being more about their relationship in the chapter less then the chapter's story itself and sorry for my lack of Fates knowledge the only Fates works I've gotten into is Grand Order which I've been playing for a while now abd justed Zero, so sorry if I'm wrong. 2. The presentation while liking how Rinny drew some scenees like Salter with glowing eye while talk to Jalter but everything is draw a bit to dark wre it kind of hard to see at times . 3. The voice acting, I think the voice of the male protage and Gilles was great but the voice od Salter and Jalter weren't that good, Salter voice sounded like lot of the voices for comic dubs for female characters and sound very bored, I suspected her voice to sound more dominat and voice on the line of Goku Black's english voice using that to compare it to something and Jalter sound like a complaining teen with a slightly annoying voice, I suspect the to sound like more of a fallen angle like voice being deeper and somewhat anglic with a bit of a sadistic hit to it. Some of the deliverys were also kind of bad a notable one for me was the Noble Phatasam clash sound not good at all, it lack that kind of energy in those kind of moments. But there were thing did like about the video like the scrit, even tho the voice weren't all good the lines were great fitting each character like the the first time Jalter mets Salter and she insults her before being cut off, and as said befor I did like Rinny drew some secens with look really good. So that all the critique and compliment I have, I hope this helps you in the future and I also wanted to say I love how all your content is such good quality form your JP servent review to your streams even I can feel all the effort you put into videos and can understand you work on something really hard and it completely it just doing so god and I'm a not a KZbinr but, I can understand how you feel or felt due to tome of this comment but again hopes this helps you in the future. I honestly liked the take on the video, especially with the difference between salter with her still having a place in history as she was the king of knights, but Jalter never was Jeanne D Arc, she was just a wish on the grail who got powerful and became a servant but she never knew what Jeanne actually felt just like it’s her own personal hell not even being a real Alter, as she’s a “fake” made just from wish of Gilles on the grail, using his anger for what happened to Jeanne to make one that would seek revenge for what happened to the real Jeanne d arc. It makes me kinda think about jalter being like envy from FullMA brotherhood, cause I think he envies humans. And I’m sure from how this looked, it made me feel another layer to jalter that she’s angry not just for the sake of anger but she’s also has her own troubles and envies that other servants remember their lives but she doesn’t. It was another thing brought up with jalter lily too. That’s what I liked story wise. And just art and animation was cool as hell I always love seeing two of my favorite servants. I liked voice acting two and it felt like the power of both were just gonna destroy Chaldea and of course Nightingale just saying “Stop!” Is cool. I originally thought Salter would just stop caring after getting a burger and would leave with Jalter just there yelling”Get back here Bitch I’m not done with you!!” And salter is just “ *Munch Munch Munch*”
