Hello and welcome to my guide to Shinjuku. I made this travel guide for first-timers to Shinjuku and Japan. The places I go to in this video are places I bring my friends when they come from overseas. :) It's a mix of shopping, eating, and overall sightseeing. If you're looking for second hand cameras, art supply stores and more I hope you find this useful!

In this vlog we start off with breakfast in Nishi Shinjuku. I love the pastries at Morethan Bakery at The Knot Hotel. Normally I have the bread to go and eat it at Shinjuku Chuo Park but it was quite chilly so I opted to eat it at the lobby. Next we head to the free observatory at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Not sure why Google Maps says its closed when it's open and free for tourists and locals to go to though.
After successfully seeing Mount Fuji from the top we head to the different second hand camera shops around the West Exit of Shinjuku Station. I also show you my favorite view of Shinjuku by the Sompo Building.
For lunch we eat at Gyoza no Fukuho and have coffee at All Seasons.
From there we head to some of my favorite places to shop at in Shinjuku: Sekaido for art supplies, Okadaya for handicraft supplies and LUMINE EST and LUMINE 1.
At the end of the video I show you a spot I frequent to people watch. 🫶💖

hmmm ... I would visit Sompo Museum of Art. The Van Gogh exhibit last month was really beautiful. Nearby is Oto-Oto restaurant; the rice and fish there are extremely good.

It really depends! I normally wear a sweater with extra warm heattech underneath and a jacket :) yesterday wasn't so cold but the day before that was pretty chilly.
