Waiting on my plane to return home. I just spent two weeks in Japan based out of Hotel Gracery in Shinjuku. My first night I arrived and was checked in by 8pm and went to Kabukicho Tower for dinner. I was absolutely blown away. The food, music, lights, energy. Hell of a hello from Japan. I'm sad to be going home.

For me, Shinjuku is the best part of Tokyo to stay at. Its great for public transport, for food, for bars, for shopping and for bright neon lights. Also, I like Omoido Yochoko, nearby Shin-Okubo, Kabuchiko, the Tokyo Metropolitan Building, Golden Gai, Shinjuku Goen. But the best part is definitely what I mentionned first: so many subway and train lines from Shinjuku station, and plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance. Have a great time in Japan !

Really the only place I've been, is one of the towers at the Tokyo Metropolitan Building. I'm not a city guy so I wanted out asap, which I now realize was a mistake. If the plan comes together I'll be spending 3 months in Tokyo, so this gives me a few nights and weekends worth of exploring.

@@betaraybob I just realised that I had booked the Godzilla hotel too now seeing the hotel name and lobby look from the video XD I was told to stay in Shinjuku to get easier routing to Mount Fuji. will tell when I will land in Tokyo next month. it is not so easy to find a direct bus line from Narita to Shinjuku without the hassle passing thru Tokyo station, especially my ETA would be late in the nite XD

@NinjaMonkeyguy9 ай бұрын
Hi, Most are walkable from Shinjuku station yes, My suggestion is to use google maps to point you in the general direction. When it comes to Gov metropolitan building generally the west exits will get you 10-15 min walk away, All the other mentioned attractions are walkable from Shinjuku. I suggest you use one of the maps within the station to help you with the exit. Shinjuku is prob the worlds most complicated station so don't worry if you get lost! (It's a right of passage) lol
