Daniel Rhod created The ‘Topological Deck Switch’ and had written instructions(no gimmicks) and appeared in Mephisto’s 1991 catalogue. It did not inspire The Flash Deck Switch but has a similar handling.

Hi Shin and Rich, Great to see you are finally coming out with your Flash Deck Switch. Remeber, I want two !!! And to all who are comparing this with the Cooler, I think you should know, that the Flash Deck Switch has a VERY different working mechanism than mine. It definitely has earned it's place in our repertoire, and you should definitely get it. Even if you already use the Cooler or have other deck switches you may use, you should not limit your arsenal, but seek to expand your weponry, in our art, Magic.

my guess on how this works is that its something like flaps covering the sides, and you move all the flaps covering the deck youre ringing, to cover the sides of the deck youre taking out. the gimmick sits in between the two decks.

this looks incredible as well as your other tricks. But everytime i have bought a trick made by shin lim, i have kinda been dissapointed of how difficult the sleights is, that the tricks arent angelproof enough, or that it's very easy to fail/setup the trick when you are performing it (like the iconic). Ive seen shin performed for other people and he does it so damn well. that explains how good shin really is. I really want this, but as i said, im afraid to be disappointed again.

We all know Shin is a master with his hands, but I can reassure you that the flash deck switch has very little angle problems, will require a little practice but is not hard to do (the gimmick practically does the work for you) and the gimmick is easy to fix and rebuild if you have problems :)

#shinlim im guessing its a double sided card case it wraps itself around the other deck, every instance of the video the only thing they had in common was one color change and the cards that where on top without a case suddenly had one, while the bottom cards are now caseless, so left hand a deck right hand cards slapem together left hand cards rIght hand deck, right? thats whybthe critics saybi want 2

Just because you have small hands does not mean you are limited you don need big hands to do the Charlie a cut I have really small hands but that doesn't limit me but to answer your question no it's super simple you will be able to preform it the second you know it
