Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master, released in Japan as The Super Shinobi II (ザ・スーパー忍II Za Sūpā Shinobu II?), is an action game developed and published by Sega for the Mega Drive/Genesis console that was released in 1993. It is the direct sequel to the previous The Revenge of Shinobi. The game was originally intended to be released in 1992, and to be very different from the final version of the game in terms of levels and storyline.
Shinobi III was included on the Sega Genesis Collection for the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable and Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It was also released for the Wii's Virtual Console service in 2007, for the PC on the download service Steam in 2010, on the iPhone in 2011[4] and for the Nintendo 3DS eShop in 2013.

The enemies were always easy to me but some of the times you lose lives by falling off the level was annoying. As is timing the double jumps, lol.

Man I love this game and I have so much fond memories playing this in the old days. The graphics, the gameplay, the music, the controls are just beautiful. Hardly any complaints in this game, except stage 6-1. That level can suck it! My favorite tracks: Inner Darkside, Rush & Beat, Shadows, Solitary, Izayoi My favorite bosses: Stage 4 boss and Stage 5 boss My favorite stages: Stage 3-1 (The restricted lab), Stage 5-2 (The military base II), Stage 6-2 (Zeed's pagoda stronghold), Stage 7-1 (The airship).

Outstanding playthrough! Shinobi was the greatest 16-bit ninja. No new Ninja Gaiden game on SNES means Shinobi wins by forfeit. I just re-ordered this game amazon.

Damn, I love this this game! It is IMO the best game for Sega Mega Drive, great music (better even in The Revenge of the Shinobi or Streets of Rage trilogy), fast dynamic gameplay and high level of difficulty (but game is fair, you just need to practice and exploit game mechanics). Once I recorded walkthrough for this game and I tried to do a perfect run without using ninjitsu. This was so hard that I failed (nevertheless I tried my best) but maybe I will try to do it again.
