Okay I'll try to answer all your questions :) Jessica Smith I'm really liking this song, and it's Alan Rickman! I'll definitely keep an eye on it. Stephanie cipres The Last Unicorn is one of my all-time favorites, so I'm fairly certain it'll pop up someday :) SLP Assassin Thank you very much! These are original characters (not from my book). At the moment I don't have plans to make another one with them in it...although that's not set in stone! I just have other projects I'm working on first.

Hmmmm, a lot of people seek to prefer it if tamatoa was a human form in the movie and yeah it does have its benefits but I think its a rather integral part of his character and lore....so I have a proposition, what if he was human most of the time but then had the ability to turn into the giant crab. It would be a sort of surprise for the viewers to see this arrogant Shmuck become this towering murderous crustacean , be could probably be a more prominent in the movie cause he could actually travel in places other than his cave. AND it would be a good nod to Disney villains of the past like maleficent and jafar whom also turned into giant deadly beasts.

I reckon it would be cool if Tamatoa was a Kupua, like Māui himself. To give a bit of background context: In Hawaiian mythology, there were three major types of deities: * The four gods known as the Akua- *Kū* (God of Forest, Rain, Husbandry, Fishing, War, and Sorcery), *Kāne* (God of Procreation, the Dawn, the Sun, and the Sky), *Lono* (God of Fertility, Agriculture, Rainfall, Music, and Peace), and *Kanaloa* (God of the Underworld, Magic, and the Ocean) * There was the lesser gods, known as the Kupua- Frankly too many to list, but a few notable Kupua were *Pele* (Goddess of Fire, Lightning, Wind, Dance and Volcanoes), *Kamapua’a*, *Hina* (Goddess of the Sea, Fire, Rain, and the Moon) and *Māui*. * And finally there was the guardian spirits, the ʻAumakua, who were associated with particular families. The ʻAumakua were family gods, often due to ancestors who were deified. They often manifested through the forms of animals. Disney has stated that the concept of the Aumakua was an inspiration for Tala's transformation into a manta ray. Disney incorrectly refers to the Kupua (through Māui) as being demigods, which has incorrect implications as it does not mean that they were half-human, half-something else; though some sometimes they were immortal gods who possessed a human mother or father, and sometimes that human parent possessed divine ancestry themselves. Anyway, the Kupua were a type of ‘lesser’ god, who were characterised as being immortal, being able to control and manipulate various forms of nature, and being able to shape-shift. The Kupua were known to not only transform into humanoids or animals, but they were also able to transform into creatures with bodies created from various flora- such as leaves, flowers, vines, or mosses; as well as being able to take on the shape of a body made from shells, stones, clouds, or even winds. Basically, they were able to shape-shift into the forms of anything within nature. With their supernatural powers and the ability to manipulate nature, the Kupua could either be malevolent monsters who sometimes possessed a tendency to eat the flesh of the victims they’d killed; or benevolent, but sometimes dangerous, spirits who sometimes protected and/or aided humankind. So it would be pretty cool if Tamatoa was a malevolent kupua to counteract Māui being a benevolent kupua.

In other words, a narcissistic, gargantuan crab has turned into Lestat de Lioncourt. Starting to wish this number was like your animatic; it fits with the song a lot better. And from what I've read Hawaiian/Pacific gods, not only Maui was a shapeshifter. Transforming into a giant crab with a massive maw to drop them into, after deceiving them with a human form, would have been really cool instead of staying a "bedazzled" crab the whole time.
