Practice on friends or dolls. I use to practice bracing and other hairstyles on my barbies but the only problem is I can’t do them on myself lmao. One of the problems also is that my hair gets tangled easily like by putting it in a ponytail.

It doesn't make a difference what color your hair is, it will be noticeable and beautiful! My hair is brown but it looks black when it's not in the light. Dark hair looks beautiful in a French or Dutch braid. Give it try!😊

I had long hair until about 2006, then I was working in a place that did not have air-conditioning in the summertime, I had to cut my hair short. But when it was long, I would put it in a ponytail and braid that. Now that I'm retired and growing my hair out again, I'll be using this technique. Thank you for posting this.

I think you did an excellent job presenting this video. I so want to be able to braid my own hair to do yard work. I am 74 and my old hands don't work so well with RA but will now give it a try after watching your video. At least, thanks to you, I understand the basics so hopefully with a bit of practice I just might be able to do it. Thank you so much...granny

I'm 25 and this video was the ONLY video that has ever properly taught me how to french braid my own hair. I have been looking up tutorials (and failing ) for years - I just wanted to say thanks! 😂🎉 Finally, it clicked for me. i learnt how to do a simple braid in primary school and always thought that dutch/french braids were going to be too hard so i never learnt... but it took like 10 mins to do my first french braid today and its perfect thank you
