5:45 the only way that I see Roy recovering there against this setup is if he gets hit by the thunder coming down towards an upper-right direction, which he may be able to get by upBing basically immediately out of hitstun and holding right. Idk if that's the option ESAM is thinking about but it might work. I don't play Roy at all and don't really have a Pika yet tho, so I may very well be wrong

5:45. Fair pika away from the thunder so it doesn’t hit him. I think you’d get hit by the thunder on the way down still, but it should send up allowing you to preserve jump.

@@KingObliv Bc against Pikachu you have a more chance of winning than Steve. Steve is too hard and annoying to fight, he's too good with too many options to use. Meanwhile Pikachu is simple to play as he is one of the original eight, his jumpy play style is really good for him but easily punished on shield. I'm not a Steve hater, I wanted him in the game for a long time along sora, but he's too good for this game, of course people would play Pikachu more than Steve, he's a fair and honest character while Steve is a walking cheat code. The only real disadvantage a Steve player can get into is running out of materials.

@@bonkai09 I guess it's a subjective thing I think Steve is more fun to fight (although I do play Cloud and GnW who are some of Steve's worst matchups so it'd be easier for me) Pikachu feels like he has no weaknesses with really great mobility, the best recovery in the game, one of the best disadvantage states, T-Jolt spam, and some of the best edgeguarding. (also my GnW isn't as good as my Cloud) When fighting Steve, it's much more comfortable for me like I know exactly what he can do and what he likely will do (because I watch a lot of steve at top level), he has much more exploitable weaknesses, and he's not as aggressive as I prefer playing slower games instead of getting destroyed immediately.
