Is it just me or the more I heard about Queen Shiori, the more I found her to be such a lovely young woman by just hearing about her personality and her behaviors alone?

She has talked quite a bit about her upbringing and general day-to-day stuff and it all makes me find her absolutely endearing.

Always has been. To be honest, I have never seen her as "goth mommy" or "I need to fix her" (I know most people just joke about it, but some are serious about it), because my guts told me it's just a facade to fit in, like a mask. Also, if you know the "forbidden knowledge before", you will know how experienced Shiori is, how she was betrayed by some close people (everybody in Advent has been LONG in the Cell, I assure you). That's why I love moments like that the most-the emotionally open Shiori. My favorite game stream from Shiori is 'Personality Analysis of Shiori Novella | Refind Self: The Personality Test Game', because she was very open there and the game itself is good at assessing your personality type based on your choices made in the game. Even in the official Shiori's community post she posted on her YT channel for her 3D Debut in August 2024, she mentioned it too, "I still remember early events like crying to the game Refind Self (amongst various other games) [...]", and the end of that post, "Here's to many more memories together where we'll laugh, cry, smile, and beat stuff up!". To me, it's pure wholesome, and those are not the only examples of wholesome, delicate Shiori.

@@piotr004 I related to her alot when she was open about her life. And one of her most earliest member streams, where she opened herself up emotionally for the 1st time. Made me stick by her to this day as my kami oshi You wont find that membership vod since she actually deleted it. Likely she wasnt ready to be that open to people yet and/or certain things got a lil too personal of her. Also regarding the "goth mommy". She fits more like the sub-culture type of it called, Mall Goth. Goth in general tends to be a "facade" of sorts of who people really are. If you ever seen the memes of the "Goth gap moe". Intimidating, dark, etc. etc. on the outside but some of the most cutest, wholesome bedroom they have as an example.

I remember my dad sharing to me his appreciation for how he still manages to hang out with his friends from high school even though adulthood has made them rarer, and I remember that appreciation thanks to how he encourages me to still hang out with my own friends from high school, all while I feel like he implicitly keeps away from encouraging me to bank on nostalgia. I guess it helps that he grew up as a working-class kid with eight siblings, and the fact that he and his brothers went to a high school run by the same congregation that runs the one that I, my first younger brother, and two of our cousins graduated from definitely helps. And as much as I feel a divide between me and my fellow VTuber fanboys among those friends from high school because of our difference in interests (Yes, I'm sure that me being a Stars fanboy is a factor), I appreciate how they manage to let me do my thing while they strive to keep on doing theirs even if it means not giving much of a response to each other's brands of enthusiasm. So yeah, keeping up with friends is awesome, but only if you let each other grow up properly as well.

The counterpoint is that it's never too late to reconnect with anyone as long as you're both still alive. I completely lost touch with my best friend from high school during the college years. We each had our various struggles and life just moves on. It was entirely possible that we would have never reconnected except for a random, serendipitous encounter on MySpace (yes, I'm that old, haha). From there, we started talking over email again, eventually arranged a real life meet up (we lived in different states by that time), and gradually rebuilt the relationship over the period of several years. Now, we're best friends again -- although we're middle-aged and still live in different states, so I only see him a few times a year. But I feel very fortunate to have been given the most precious thing in life: a second chance.

2:05 "They had THE basement." What does this even mean?! Aw, screw it. I will Shiori until I don't care anymore.

She pretty much means they had a really nice finished basement. So the kids would come over and hang out there

Nice Shiori story. About the editing, whenever she's not upside-down, her hair colors are on the wrong side because the video is mirrored or flipped. Should've rotated 180° instead.
