Haha The Guitar doesnt go with your T-Shirt. I agree with all the positive feedback and your insights into how these songs can be played has assured I will can or could include an acoustic version of a Groundhogs song at some Open Mic. With my appetite wettened again to re-listen to my favorite Groundhogs Albums, if I could chat with McPhee or Martin Birch (rip) I would be intrigued to know what equipment was used to record T.C.F.T.B. & Splitt and how McPhee,s recorded Vocals are so different to the live versions. Anyway in learning how to play or interpretate his songs thru your channel it strikes me even more what an original and very good componist he is and continued to be over many albums. Going through some old Photos the other day I came across an old B&W photo of me in my 1974 Teeange Bedroom with its many posters and one was the large official Poster of The Groundhogs that I bought as a souvioneer at their gig in Edinburgh Odeon. Hey but what about you, have you ever covered a Groundhogs song live somewhere sometime?. I retire in 2 yrs and will be heading to Cambodia to live out the Golden years and have heard that music wise they have reached the 70,s so if thats true its going to be awesome to include some Groundhogs songs at the live music resort/venue that I intend to get up and running there.

It would be cool if you still had that poster 😀 and you are right about that t-shirt, I must buy a new guitar immediately 😊 I’d really like to do a set of acoustic groundhog covers - let the songs speak for themselves, and I’ve worked up a couple before but it’s just time factors as always. Cambodia! That sounds amazing, what a great thing to do 😊 much respect to you for that !

@@theguitartundra My 70s idol remains Neil Young and wore the needle out playing his Neil Young thru to On the Beach. Through Neil albums and especially the bootleg albums it was a game changer for me to hear how he would do versions of band songs on solo acoustic and solo acoustic songs with a full band. Ive also been influenced by backpacking thru South America & Asia and love Thai Dance but not the twinky twonky music and I would like to combine both Young & Thai dance live in Cambodia and some Thai women dancers are friends who could maybe help me realise this. Hi Dave, very nice one again. although I have to admit that the tuning stability of this Gibson may cause nightmares... If you are still bored and looking for a new task, how about "Natchez burning"? Pure blues, but very sophisticated in comparison to the original version by the Wolf.
